Chapter 1

~Sarah gets released from prison and this is her first day home~
Nate:Surprise!Welcome home Sarah.
Sarah:Thank you so much Nate.I really appreciate this.
Nate:Now that your home could you tell me why you got arrested?
Sarah:Come down to the basement.
Nate:Why?
Sarah:Just come with me.
Nate:Fine
~In the basement~
Nate:Sarah why did you bring me down her?
Sarah:Do you see the plastic on the walls?
Nate:Now that you say something I do.
Sarah:This was put up to keep the police from hearing our conversations.
Nate:How didn't the police not see the plastic?
Sarah:I actually don't know.They just didn't notice I guess.
Nate:Anyways what is going on and how did you get arrested.
Sarah:You need to promise to not tell anyone or you also could be arrested.Do you wanna take the risk?
Nate:Sarah what have you done!
Sarah:Are you taking the risk or not!
Nate:Fine I'll take the risk.
Sarah:Basically there were shadows roaming around my house.I honestly thought I was going crazy.I told my therapist about them and he told me I should get more sleep.I was almost convinced but when I got home that day I met a new shadow.Her name is Ellie and she told me everything about the shadows and I promised to protect them.Somehow the police figured out I was hiding them and they got brought to the lab and I got arrested for hiding them.
Nate:I'm speechless.
Sarah:I don't blame you.Sometimes I don't believe it either.
Nate:Is there anything I can do to help?
Sarah:There is one thing but this is another huge risk.I'm only taking these risks because I have nothing else to lose.
Nate:I really have nothing else to lose either.So tell me.
Sarah:I want to see Ellie or at least know she's alive.Can you help me?
Nate:I can try.
Sarah:Thank you so much Nate.Tomorrow meet me at my house and we can start the search.Be here at 5:00 am.
Nate:Okay I will be there.
~The next morning~
Nate:Hello good morning.
Sarah:Hey good morning Nate.
Nate:Why did you want me here so early?
Sarah:It will almost be impossible to find Ellie so we need to search day and night for her.
Nate:I guess that makes sense.
Sarah:Get in the car we need to get searching.
Nate:Okay where are we going first?
Sarah:The lab
~At the lab~
Sarah:Let's go ask and see if they know if Ellie if even alive.
Nate:Okay
Lab security:What do you guys need?
Sarah:We're here to visit someone or something.
Lab security:Who do you want to visit?
Sarah:It is almost a shadow named Ellie.
Lab security:I'm sorry but Ellie was going to be tested but somehow escaped I don't think she is alive.
Sarah:What?How did this happen?
Lab security:I'm not sure ma'am please go home I know this is hard to hear.
