---Y/N's POV---
"I- I can't leave Liam here alone- My- My parents would kill me!!!" I panicked quietly to myself. I started thinking hard even with my headache.
"Stop trying so much, I'll find him and- Oh shoot, here come the lights. Talk to you another time." Moondrop said. Just as he had predicted, the dim lights turned on and Sundrop came out.
"Oh, Y/N, w-what happened? Why are you here after hours!?" Sundrop asking in shock and panik. I shrugged and struggled to get up.
"Oh, Sunbeam! Do you need help?" Sundrop asked. I looked at him in confusion.
"Sunbeam? Really? Please don't call me that ever again." I said and stumbled forward.
"Then I'll give you the nickname I've been reserving for the bestest of bestiest best friends!!! Sunshine!" Sundrop exclaimed happily. I gripped onto the railing of the stairs and turned to look at him.
"I'm... You're bestiest of best whatever you said friends?" I asked. Sundrop nodded hyperly. There ain't no way I just got a best friend to add to my poor best real life friend group of 2, including me.
"You've got the wrong person guy." I said and tried to step the next step. From out of no where Sundrop offers his hand to me.
"I've never had a Bestie before! Aaaaaand I thought me and you could be best friends!!!" He smiled. I didn't know how to cope with this. I've been aggressively bullied pretty much my whole life and I know many things I shouldn't know at this age. I've had trust issues and paranoia since that one day when the whole gym class stopped, picked up the dodge balls, and they all threw them at me and only me. I got hit in the throat that day and had to see a doctor. Even the kids from my own team joined in. I try my best to avoid people now a days. But Sundrop, he has proven himself trust worthy. I just hope he doesn't back stab me like my old friends. I took his hand.
"I- I haven't had a real best friend ever... actually..." I said. I wasn't going to expose myself. Sundrop gasped.
"B-b-B-But!!! But who wouldn't want to be your friend!?!? Every child should have multiple friends and a best friend! Especially at your age! I am honored to be the first though." Sundrop helped me down the stairs.
"Thank you." I said quietly. I smiled. I felt safe- safer- with Sundrop. I've never felt fully secure with being around anyone. Not even my imaginary friends! But Sundrop, he's different. I can feel it. Despite the bundle of energy he is. And to be honest, I think Moondrop is on my side as well. He's not the brightest star in the sky, but he's something.
(Very short chapter because I'm lazy as hec and have no motivation-)
