"Happy birthday Ash," He smiles a bit at me and closes his locker "sucks that your birthday is during school." I laugh at that and smile back at him, "Oh it's fine really, wouldn't be the first time!" I grab his hand and we start walking to class.
"should we head to the park after school?" I ask excitedly, I don't even notice the panic that sweeps Mark's face, "n-no thanks," he quickly lets go of my hand "I don't really wanna be out in public today..."
I look over at him, worry is obvious on my face, "why? a-are you okay?" I turn to fully face him. "I'm good, I've just... already planned a surprise for you?" I gasp smiling widely and tackle Mark in a hug, "ohmygoshhhthankyousomuchahhhh" "babe please let me go-" I immediately let him go and step away, "ah sorry!" He just laughs and gives me a kiss, "I'll see you later Ash."
