"Thoma."

The name slipped from Ayato's lips without warning. He hadn't meant to. But he saw that blond hair swipe past his vision and the name jumped from between his lips.

Thoma whirled around, surprised and relieved to see it was Ayato. "Kamisato!" he exclaimed, running up to him. The passing period was short, but neither seemed to mind the potential for arriving late to class. Ayato pushed off from the wall, walking alongside Thoma.

"Did you do well on your exam the other day?" Thoma asked, looking over at Ayato.

Ayato forced his usual smile, "Yes. It was rather easy. Thank you for studying with me."

"Of course! Thanks for teaching me so much! You'd make a great tutor."

"I do tutor. If you need a tutor, I can be of service."

"R-really?" Thoma was quiet for a moment. "You know, you're really nice."

Ayato was relieved to hear him say so. He was worried he'd tarnished Thoma's perception of him. "As are you."
