Alice could not see the intense and vibrant colors that were part of the mysterious creature, but after all she had never seen a wolf with a fur that would combine the usual white and gray with parts of Garffen and blue...
The tail as well was longer than that of a wolf, and even though the head and face of this animal were quite wolfish indeed, the eyes were all that Alice needed to conclude that this was for sure a magical creature: They were large, deep and completely made of some kind of crystal or glass, and on top of that they acted as their own source of light.
Those fluorescent green eyes were seen by Alice as a weak and garffeny yellow, but at the moment she came to be more worried about the sharp fangs and those huge and deadly claws...
"What is this?" Alice thought, pointing her sword at the creature as they began to circle each other- "Alice, do not even think of running..."
The creature emitted a deep and low growl as it tried to decide which would be the best moment to attack, but then Alice growled back and the monster soon realized that it was in the presence of a fellow predator... It had never been confronted like this, and those cold and lifeless eyes could only mean that she was different to any of the other people that it had killed before.
Alice represented a risk far greater than the creature would accept, but still it would not allow her to go away unharmed...
A sinister laughter came from the creature as its fluorescent green eyes gleamed far brighter than before, a twisted smile appeared slowly in its wolfish face and Alice retreated a few steps with great alarm... She was ready for this supernatural animal to charge at her with its claws any moment, but instead those crystal eyes shot two beams of green light up and straight at Alice.
The beams hit her violet eyes an instant later, and for a moment Alice could see a color that she had never seen before...
"What was that?" Alice cried out, gasping in shock after having seen a true and beautiful green for the first time in her life- "What the freaking hell was that?!"
The luminous blast had lasted for one second only, but it had been so powerful and bright that Alice remained dazzled for over seven seconds after that. The experience of having seen that color had shaken her to her very bones and soul, she even lowered her sword and the creature was now laughing even louder than before...
"What did you do to me?!"
The shaken Alice was ready to attack the creature herself at this point, but all of a sudden she heard the distant howls of a wolf somewhere not far between the trees... the first howl was followed by many others, and after that the colorful monster was quick to turn around and disappear running and jumping through the forest with admirable speed.
Alice was still a little dazzled and confused when a true wolf showed up at the clearing a few seconds later, it growled at her and after that it charged with teeth ready to kill just to get hit by a devastating sword attack that Miss Layttel delivered with the strength of both arms...
Another gray wolf followed the first just to get viciously impaled before it could even hurt Alice, and a third beast was already retreating with caution when the entire pack arrived-
It was seven against one, and Alice realized that she was lost...
The wolves growled with excitement as a terrified Alice just turned around and ran away as fast as she could, for they wanted to play with her, to let her try to escape so they could coordinate and have some fun before their meal... The Alpha wolf charged to lead the others when Alice was already a good distance from them, and all the wolves growled together as the hunt finally began.
Alice did not even look behind as she desperately tried to find a tree that she could climb, but there was nowhere to escape from the wolves and she had already decided to stay and fight them all when it happened by surprise:
What looked like a giant black raven came from somewhere in the sky, one of its claws closed around Alice's right arm with terrible strength and it took her away flying very high above the trees...
