The Masque: Chapter 2: Interrogation

The intimidating-looking knight points his sword on Gem's throat as he began questioning him about the events that have happened recently. Gem is totally defenseless against them. After all the ruckus that happened, Gem doesn't seem to have an answer to his questions.

"So? Are you going to answer me?" The knight says to him as his blade started to cut a little bit of skin on Gem's throat.

"I~I... I don't know. Please don't kill me." Gem responds with clear confusion and terror.

"I don't know anything! I don't even know how I got here. Please, don't end me!" Gems begs to the knight.

Gem started hyperventilating as he have no clue what he's up against, nor having a dime on how he managed to get on the situation he's in. The knight looks at the direction on where Gem flew and crashed on the outpost, only a raging mists is present in the direction that he went. The knight then removes the sword on his throat and let's out a sigh.

"Pambihira talaga..." The knight looks annoyed.

"You, get up and turn around!" The knight orders Gem to stand up.

"Kapitan Ria, arestuhin mo muna siya." The knight commanded a person of his to do something.

Gem quickly gets up without hesitation and started to turn around, while being terrified. One guard unit comes close to me and is tying my hands up with some thick-casted iron handcuffs. Gem's anxiety has decreased a little as he realized that he won't get stabbed through the back. The guard noticed that Gem has something on his hands. The guard immediately steps back and sheathes out a sword. All the other guards becomes alerted and the tensions increases. The knight on the other hand, just calm and collective.

"Kapitan! Ano meron?!" The guards in the vicinity questioned what happened.

"Ano meron, Ria?" The knight says and seems to question the alerted guard.

The guard that stepped back gets close to the knight and began whispering something. The knight looks at me.

"Hey, you. Can you show me what's on your hand?" The knight commanded Gem.

"My... hand?" Gem responds quietly.

"I didn't even realized I have something on my hand, I was clenching my fist so hard because of tension that I didn't even bother on what is happening to myself." Gem responds to himself.

Gem opened his hand and shows a necklace, a familiar necklace. The guards kept their alerted state still while the knight lets out a sigh of disappointment.

"Kalma niyo sarili niyo." The knight orders his guards and it seems to have dropped the intensity of the situation.

"All that for a necklace." The knight facepalm himself.

"Hey, is that your necklace? Don't worry about my guards, this types of things just happens very rarely, you can't blame them for being tensed."

"Uh... I don't really know. But looking at it feels familiar." Gem replied to the knight.

"Oh, is that so? Well, we won't dig into it further, for now." The knight replied back at him.

"Kapitan Ria? Please do the honors." The knight commanded the guard that got provoked earlier.

The guard approached me again and sheathes the sword back at the holster while walking towards me. The guard showed the iron handcuffs again and starts arresting me.

"You! Don't do- stupid things." The guard says to Gem. And it looks to be that the guard is a female as her feminine voice comes to show. Unfortunately, she's not having the greatest time speaking Gem's language.
