author's pov

Marinette scrambled around her room for her school necessities. it was first day back, she can't be fashionably late of course. as much as she dreaded the thought of going back to the place where she had to be in 5 feet vicinity of Chloe, she needed to acquire education because people can't just magically manifest super powers and be exempted from worldly chores. not that she wanted such a headache anyway, no avenger movie ended well . Marinette still rants about how Peter's future could've been so bright but he chose to become a pizza delivery guy to keep his neighborhood safe.

Marinette just put on whatever she found first in the closet. she didn't care if she looks like a dumpster fire right now, not like any cute guy would just magically pop up at school or some shit. she just didn't want to be late. she went down to the living room to greet her mother good morning. a good asian parent child relation, wow. in a way she was lucky you can say but definitely not when it came to personal care. poor girl almost broke her leg while coming down the stairs.

if Marinette got paid how by how much she cussed under her breath when she had a near death experience while tripping or falling, she'd be rich enough to get Chloe a new wardrobe and rid her of all that obnoxious clothing. we as audience are going to forget the fact they kind of wear the same thing.

"CHLOE IS IN MY CLASS AGAIN MA" Marinette whines, or perhaps screams. she's extremely annoyed. "HER DWESSES ARF SO TACKFY LIKE EW AND THE FAY SHE TALFS IS SO ANNOYFING" she goes on while gobbling down her breakfast. 'mhmm' Sabine chimes in while scrolling through tiktoks at full volume at 7 in the morning.  she finished her breakfast and went down to the bakery to greet her dad.

"oi kiddo, take this" he gives Marinette a whole box of macarons, "be careful okay? they're for your class" Marinette thanks her dad for the treat. now maybe her friends from previous years will actually recognize her because Marinette thinks cutting your hair by 2 inches makes you a whole different person. She's a bit dull but she's trying her best and we'll support her.

Marinette waits at the zebra crossing, waiting for the traffic light to turn green so she can cross the road but soon spots an elderly man whom she presumed couldn't see very well because he was wearing medical grade glasses, trying to cross the road during red light phase. 'shit shit shit' she thought as she walked into the busy road to help out the elderly man. "sir, please hold my hand, the red light is still on. i will help you cross the road" she says to the man and without hearing his response hurriedly helps him cross the road. of course not before yelling a few profanities to passing cars who were 'batfucks' (her words, not mine oh god).

"are you okay sir? please don't cross the road alone i encourage you to ask for assistance next time. this is really dangerous" she says, well, i guess you can say scolds the old man. "yes dear child i understand, i will ask for help next time. thank you very much" the old man says to Marinette. "no need to thank me, i just did what i was supposed to- ...  uhhh i should get going or i'll be late for school bye sir have a good day!!" Marinette says to the man while screaming the last part as she runs towards the school.

entering the school grounds with a sad sigh, she was greeted by Nino. Nino stiffles an awkward smile and waves at her while uttering a quick good morning. Marinette thought it was a bit unusual but didn't pay much heed and said good morning back. she enters her class prescribed by the authorities, 11th grade. Marinette almost didn't believe it. 11th grade is kinda a huge step, of course she was scared. She enters her class to see none other than Chloe hovering the seat Marinette sits at.
