Day 1, the developing of the stye.

I've had styes before in the past, they sucked but were manageable. I thought it was just going to be like the ones in the past, only last for a couple of days and swell up a bit. Who knew that I was completely wrong? This was way worse than any I've had before.

I believe my stye to have developed from my habit of not washing my face before I go to sleep. I tend to wear makeup every day and sometimes I just forget that I have any on. Other days where I need to wake up early, I tend to throw some on the night before. This has always helped me when it came to crunching time but now, I know that I should probably get into the habit of washing my face as this has been way worse than any before.

When I first got the stye, I didn't even know it was a stye. My eye wasn't swelling, and the pain wasn't too bad. At first, I just thought I had something in my eye as it was only the corner that was hurting. Seeing as I thought it was nothing, I did nothing about it. I treated it as if it were just something that I could wash out with water or blink out. It was not! I regret looking back and not putting compresses on.

I paid no mind towards my eye for the rest of the day. Why would I? Instead, I lazed around as I would any other day. At the end of the day, I did my makeup as per usual. I had to be somewhere in the morning, so I thought "why not?" Little do I know that sleeping in this makeup overnight might've caused my eye to swell up way more than it ever had before.
