Dear God

I've been travling on this lonley road for hours, and as i cross another cold state line, i'm miles away from those i love, i havn't seen you for days now, but it feels like years, when i think of you my heart moans with the pain of not seeing you. As we drive on my thoughts wonder back to pictures and memories, they help me through the lonliness. As night falls i kneel at my bed side and say my prayer. 'Dear god, the only thing i ask of you is to hold her when i'm not around, when i'm much to far away, Amen' then i climb into bed and sleep.

My dreams are calm and full of you, we lie on the beach together, your head on my chest, legs entwined, your hand on my chest feeling my heartbeat, i place my hand on your hip, slowly moving down your thigh, then you say ' i love you baby, oh so much'   ' i love you to' i say back and close my eyes

When i woke up i was lonley and tired, i'm missing you again, once again, now i realise there is nothing here for me on this dusty road, there is no one there while i'm lying asleep, and thats what hurts the most.

Now i'm on the way home dear, i'm kneeling at my bed side saying the old usual prayer,

'Dear God the only thing i ask of you is to hold her when i'm not around when i'm much to far away, amen'.
