It's been two months since the misfits have been almost killed, saved the world or killed someone. Irregular, but nonetheless, they still had debts to pay to society. So, almost every day they still showed up to the community center, pulled on the ugly uniforms and got to work. Kelly still yelled, Nathan still made crude jokes and insults, Simon still clutched to the only braincell among them, Alisha still flirted, and Curtis still held them together.

But something was different, within them. Kelly noticed it first. Nathan always made jokes; rude, unkind, hurtful jokes that made him unlikable, but it was when the jokes were directed at Simon that made her realize. Nathan was flirting with Simon. His whole demeanor changed when he joked at the boy. At times Kelly thought she imagined it but the spark was definitely there, the same glint in his eyes he once got when he joked at her. She thought this should upset her, considering they never really resolved their feelings towards each other, but maybe being psychic made her more accepting to changing hearts.

Her suspicions were confirmed one day when Nathan made an actually funny joke and Simon laughed, a thought floated from Nathans head to hers.
"Fuck, I love that smile."
He was completely head over heels for him. Then, even though she knew it was wrong and because how could she not, she told Alisha.

"He's, like, mad for him, yeah." She said, one day while they changed alone in the locker room.

"And what, exactly, makes you think that?" Alisha asked, while she pulled on her orange jumpsuit.

"That's the thing, though," Kelly replied, "it's not me thinking it, it's Nathan."
Understanding hit Alishas face and she knew.

"You've heard him think it, huh?"

"Definitely."

"Okay," No longer skeptical, now curious, Alisha asked, "but is it 'shag him' thoughts or 'marry him' thoughts?"

"Marry. Him." Kelly enunciated.

"Wow, serious." Alisha was quickly getting over her shock. Just then Curtis walked in.

"Totally weird question," he started taking his place next to Alisha, "but have you guys noticed something with Simon and Nathan?"

Alisha and Kelly exchanged knowing looks then burst out laughing. Curtis' expression became annoyed.

"What? What is it?" he asked, losing his patience.

"Sorry, sorry." Kelly started, catching her breath. "We were just talking about that that, yeah. See, I've heard Nathans thoughts and he's totally got it bad for Simon."

Curtis' face changed from annoyance to confidence.
"Good, because Simon is totally into him, as well. I keep seeing him look at him all sweet and the way he talks about him sometimes, it's straight love with that man."

Alisha righted herself, "We've definitely got to do something about it then." she said, absolution in her voice.

"Of course we do." Kelly and Curtis replied in unison.

"But how?" Curtis added.

"Oh, we'll figure it out." Alisha said, confidently.

"This might make us horrible people, but do you guys wanna make bets on how long." Curtis said, almost laughing at his own idea.

"100%" Kelly replied.

"Oh, yes!" said Alisha.

"Alright," Curtis started the betting war of love, "I've got 5£ on them very obviously sneaking around for the rest of this month, then coming public early next month."

"Knowing Nathan," Kelly said, "he won't be able to keep it for much longer. 5£ they'll be public by the end of this month."

"You're both totally wrong," Alisha added in, "they need more time. 5£ they'll be public by the end of next month."

"Deal, then." Curtis said, holding out his hand for Kelly to shake.

"Deal." She said and shook.

"Deal." Alisha added, air shaking the others hands.
