The Negative Prince's Old Friend(!DISCONTINUED!)

Nightmare???

Y/N's POV:

I woke up laying on the ground, next to what looked to be a... tree? My vision was kinda blurry so all I saw was some brown thing in front of me. As I reached out to thouch it, I heard a voice. I rolled over to see what made that noise and saw.. A SKELETON!? I quickly sat up, which was an absolute mistake because the moment I was up I flopped back down in pain. "Don't hurt yourself!" Said the skeleton. As My vision started to focus more, I looked back up the skeleton. He was wearing a crown, what looked to be a blue or teal shirt, blue pants, and yellow boots. I sat up again, this time slowly. When I sat up though, I ended up bumping shoulders with someone. "EEK!" I squeaked as I jumped over. I was met with yet another skeleton. He was also wearing a crown, with a purple shirt, black pants, and purple boots. I recognized these detail almost immediately. "N-nightmare???" You questioned out loud making the purple skeleton look at you confused. "Uhh.. who are you exactly?" "BROTHER! Be nice to the guest! What's your name?" The purple skeleton asked followed by him being yelled at by his brother and then another question on who I was. "Oh! Uh.. I'm Y/N!" I said nervously, the joy from seeing My old friend again getting to me but immediately being ruined when I realized he doesn't remember me. "That's a pretty name!" The yellow skeleton remarks while the purple one nods in agreement. "I'm dream! And I'm sure you already know my brother" the yellow skeleton says, referring to a few seconds ago. "Uh! Yeah! Sorry about that!" I say, apologizing. "Its fine" Dream says "I was actually invited to something going on in the village tho, and you aren't from around here so I think it's best I leave you with my brother" Dream follows up "Would you be okay with that??" He asks "uh, yeah, I think that'd be fine!" You reply "okay, see you later Y/N! Bye brother!" Dream yells as he runs towards the village "bye!" Me and nightmare say in sync. Nightmare then turns and glares at me. "How do you know my name?" He asks in a slightly dark tone, a hot one at that. Wait- WHAT ARE YOU THINKING Y/N!? I proceed to slap myself in the face at my thought. "Uhhh.." said Nightmare, confused on why I just hit myself. "Oh! Sorry! Just some thoughts. Hehe. But uhm.. y-you really don't remember me?.." "remember you?" "Yeah! I used to live here.." "well even Dream didn't recognize you, and he knows everyone in the village" "uhm.." "shh!" Nightmare quickly silenced me, putting a finger to my mouth. I looked around confused. "Why-" "SHH!" Nightmare said again when "Hey twerp, ready for another beat down?"Nightmare flinched and quickly turned around only to be kicked in the face by a teenage boy. Nightmare fell on his back, groaning in pain. I looked up to look the teenage boy in the face. "Oh, so nightmare has a girlfriend now?" The boy teased, his friends laughing behind him. "I'm not his girlfriend." I replied. "Then what are you? His friend?" "As a matter of fact, I am" I said proudly, standing up. "Wha-" Nightmare tried to question when another teenage boy stomped on his leg. "AGH!" Nightmare yelped in pain. I quickly went and stood in front of nightmare, trying to shield him at least in the slightest. "His friend huh? Why him?" Said the first boy. "Because he's kind, honest, thoughtful. He's one of the best friends I've ever had!" I replied. "Pfft." Snorted a girl in the back, she walked up to the front and grabbed my shirt, pulling me closer. "Listen here rando girl, i don't know what your deal is. But you need to stay out of our way, got it!?" She shouted, pushing me to the ground. "Ok listen here brat" you said, standing back up. She quickly punched you in the face, knocking you backwards. "Wanna say that again loser?" She said, cracking her Knuckles. "Yeah, brat, if you wanna get to my friend your gonna have to go through me!" You said, mustering up as much confidence as you could.

1 hour later

Dream's POV:

I was walking back to the tree when I saw Y/N and my brother! Y/N seemed to be asleep and nightmare was leaning over her, I wonder why? But as I stepped closer, I felt a negative emotion coming from nightmare... worry. I ran as fast as I could up to the tree and saw that both Nightmare and Y/N had bruises and scratches all over them. "What happened!?" I shouted as I finally made it to the tree, Nightmare quickly looked up at me. "I- Dream.. she- I-" Nightmare stuttered. "Is Y/N okay?" I asked "Y/N.. no, I don't think so. She's been knocked out for the past 15 minutes" Nightmare replied. "How did this happen!?" I asked, Nightmare just stuttered some more. "*sigh* there's no time to question right now, I need to bandage you two up.." I said in a empty yet worried tone. I climbed the tree and grabbed the medical kit, hoping back down and bandaging Y/N and Nightmare up.

Half an hour later

I propped Y/N up against the tree and sat down beside Nightmare. "Nightmare.." I started "hm?" He hummed "wh-when your ready.. can you please tell me what happened today?" Nightmares eye sockets went empty. "I.. when I'm ready maybe.." he replied, his voice empty. "Do.. you think Y/N will be okay?" He asked, the tone in his voice back and his eye sockets dotted with violet ovals again. "I'm sure she'll be fine brother.." I said placing my hand on his shoulder for reassurance. "Ok.." said nightmare as he leaned against the tree and quickly drifted off to sleep. I looked up at the stars through the leaving of the tree and saw.. I new constellation? It looked to be an apple with a human soul inside. I thought it looked cute. I wondered if brother had noticed it, he probably did. He loves stargazing. I leaned over on nightmares shoulder and drifted off to sleep as well, still confused on what happened but knowing everything will be fine.
