On their way home from the cafe, the guys stopped to pick up some beer. Changbin hoisted the pack onto the convenience store counter. "Chan's treat," he grinned.
"What? You said a beer, not a whole case of beer," Chan snorted.
Felix looked slightly confused, but didn't ask, figuring it was some silly bet they must've had.
When they got home, the plan was to fully chill and just spend time together drinking and goofing around. Later on, they'd order takeout so they didn't have to leave the house for the rest of the night. Felix was really looking forward to an evening with his best friends.
After a few beers, Felix finally worked up the nerve to tell the guys about his night with Hyunjin. Though there wasn't much to tell, it was still going to be an awkward conversation.
"So, remember I said I'd tell you guys about my Friday night?" Felix started as he fidgeted with the tab on his can.
"Uh huh. So, what'd you do?" Chan asked as if he didn't already know about Hyunjin.
"Actually, Hyunjin came by unexpectedly," Felix admitted and then quickly took a big gulp from the can.
"He just showed up?" Chan raised his eyebrow and took a sip. Changbin let him do all the asking, since he already bothered Felix earlier.
"Yeah. Weird, huh?"
"So...you guys hung out or something?"
"He said he came by to see how I was doing, then asked to stay and watch the movie with me." Felix chuckled softly. "It was really awkward at first, but it turns out we have the same favorite movie."
"Sounds like you had a good time," Chan leaned back in his chair and folded his arms.
"Yeah. It was actually nice." Felix looked down, attempting to hide his smile and blushed cheeks.
"And what else happened?" Chan pried.
Felix shot his head back up and stared at Chan with wide eyes. "W-what do you mean? Nothing happened!"
Chan laughed, "I didn't really think so, I was just teasing."
Changbin grunted and opened another beer. "You guys ready for another?"
They both took a final sip and nodded.
"I'm glad Hyunjin seems to be over his shitty attitude towards you, but just be careful. Okay?" Chan sighed and opened his next beer.
"I already told Changbin not to worry. And I know you both have my back if I need you." Felix smiled and raised his drink. "How about a toast to the best friends a guy could ever ask for?"
"I'll drink to that!" Changbin shouted.
"You guys are the best!" Chan laughed.
"Cheers!" All three tapped their beers together and took a big drink.
Next, they played a few rounds of cards, some video games, and then turned on some anime while they waited for their takeout order to arrive.
Feeling rather tipsy, Felix suddenly had the thought to text Hyunjin. He wasn't even sure why or what he wanted to say, but he pulled out his phone anyway.
That Hyunjin
Felix: Hi!
Felix sat and stared are his phone, waiting for a reply. After a minute, Hyunjin responded.
That Hyunjin
