The sun's rays shined through the window of PJ Liguori's bedroom onto the two boys in the bed, one being PJ and the other being his best friend Chris Kendall. They had had a sleepover the night before, where they played video games and brainstormed video ideas. The light went into Chris's eyes, causing him to wake up.

He looked at PJ, still sleeping peacefully, and took the opportunity to study his features: those gorgeous brown curls that Chris longed to run his hands through, his masculine facial structure, his mesmerizing green eyes, which right now were closed, and of course, his soft, pink, incredibly kissable lips.

Chris's eyes lingered on PJ's lips as a terrifying, yet exhilarating thought crossed his mind.

I could kiss him to wake him up.

It was something he'd fantasized about doing many times, as he'd been in love with the film maker almost since their friendship started, but now that the opportunity presented itself, Chris was hesitant for several reasons, the one at the forefront of his mind being the fear PJ would wake up and catch him in the act. And of course, there was the warning PJ gave him that if Chris ever tried to kiss him in his sleep, he would get 'sleep-punched'.

Well Chris, you need to make a decision. Is the risk worth it?

Deciding that the chance was too good to pass up, Chris leaned in slowly. When he was mere centimeters from PJ's lips, he stopped, fear and embarrassment paralyzing him. They were almost nose to nose.

What if he hates me for this? What if I ruin our friendship and make things awkward? What if he actually does punch me in the face?

Before he could contemplate things any further, the one thing he feared most happened. PJ opened his eyes and was looking right at Chris. His cheeks flushed red and he couldn't form any words. Looking into PJ's eyes, Chris didn't see what he expected. There was no anger or contempt or even shock in them that he could detect. In fact, PJ almost seemed to be looking at him expectantly.

A few more seconds passed with neither one moving or saying anything. Finally PJ said, "Well if you won't do it, I will." And with that, PJ closed the gap between their lips.

Chris was stunned and for the first couple of seconds, didn't respond. Once his brain restarted, he kissed back. Once they pulled apart, PJ was smiling while Chris still looked dumbfounded.

"I've wanted to do that for a long time," PJ said.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. What, you think I didn't notice the sexual tension between us? Last night, you were so touchy-feely with me that I was waiting for you to tackle me into a make out session."

"Well, I did think about it..." Chris muttered, looking away and blushing madly.

PJ laughed. "Chris, I've liked you for a long time and I could tell you liked me too since you weren't exactly subtle about it. I just figured you would make the first move."

"Believe me, I wanted to, but I always held back because I wasn't sure how you felt and I didn't want to risk ruining our friendship. Why didn't you make a move before now?"

"I was tempted to, but I didn't feel like I needed to because I assumed you would do it eventually. I wanted you to. I waited Chris."

"I'm sorry..." Chris said, now looking guilty.

"It's okay. I guess it's really my fault since you say you weren't sure of my feelings. I could've been more upfront."

"Well, all that's behind us now. So...we're boyfriends now right?"

"I would hope so since I want to kiss you more than once."

Chris smiled. "You can kiss me as much as you want."

"Good," PJ said before kissing him again.
