Denial of Death ( Piggy Human! AU )

something i probably should've done before the second chapter

Drake was in bed with Konnor, asleep. Drake found himself in a red room but the room appeared to have no walls. He looked behind and in front of him and in the distance, he saw black. Whenever he moved, the black turned to red. He was in the red void. He walked and walked until he heard something.

"Daddy!! Daddy!! Dad!! We're here, Papa!!"

He instantly knew that those voices belonged to Devon and Katalia. He listened closely and ran in the direction of the voices. They soon saw each other and they felt joy filling them up. But, something had grabbed them. They couldn't escape the grasp of what had been pulling them apart.

Devon: Dad, what's happening?!

Drake: I d...don't know!

Katalia: We.. can't get... out of it's... grasp!

Drake, Devon and Katalia kept struggling but were becoming weaker with each attempt.

Devon: No!! NO!! NOT NOW!! DADDY!!!

Katalia: DADDY!! WE CAN'T GET OUT!!!

Drake: AGH!! I'M COMING, GUYS!!!

Devon and Katalia started screaming and crying. Drake then heard the sound of paper ripping, along with the children's screams. The sound of ripping paper was actually the sound of Devon getting decapitated and Katalia getting cut in half. Drake was starting to become distressed as he screamed:

Drake: DEVON!!! KATALIA!!! AAAGH!!! NOOOO!!!

At that moment, Drake sat up in bed and checked his surroundings. He was still in his bedroom, with Konnor beside him. Drake realized he was sweating and crying. He went to the bathroom and fell down in the bathtub and started having a breakdown.

Drake: WHY!?!? WHY THEM,GOD?!?! Please... I just want them to come back home... and for myself to awake from this nightmare...

Konnor opened the door and saw Drake crying silently.

Konnor: Babe?! Baby?! Are you okay?! Are you still thinking about the kids?...

Drake: I... I had a nightmare...

Konnor: Tell me about it. I'm all ears.

Drake told him what he saw in his nightmare and that shook Konnor a bit. He embraced him and told Drake that if he needed to cry and scream more to let out his pain, just do it. Drake went from light sobs to painful shrieks of sorrow. They both were in the bathroom until morning. A neighbor came by to complain about the screaming she heard last night.

Konnor: I'm so sorry, miss. Both of us and our family had just lost our kids not too recently. He still needs some time to get over the loss.

Karen (T_T): Well, make him get over it. Tell him to man up, that baby b--ch!

Konnor: Look at who's whining like one right now!

Karen: What did you say to me!?

Konnor: You're the one calling my husband a baby when you're over here acting like one!

Drake couldn't take the yelling, so he shouted at the top of his lungs:

STOP!!!! GET OUT OF HERE, NOW!!!

The frightened Karen ran away and didn't come back out. Drake panted from yelling so loudly because now, his throat started to hurt. Konnor took care him and let him rest.

Konnor: -sigh-  What am I gonna do?....

Finally! For once, I finished an entire chapter in one setting! Two chapters, technically! Man, I feel proud. Stay safe out there, guys! Love y'all and take care of yourselves!
