Y/N'S POV :
"Y/N! WERE GONNA BE LATE IF WE DON'T LEAVE NOW!!!" , Dustin yells as i'm trying to tie my shoes.Once I finish , I sprint downstairs and see Dustin already standing by the door. "LETS GO" he says .
"Have fun kids!!" , Aunt Claudia shouts.
"We will!" , I reply as i'm running out the door.
*you guys get to StarCourt Mall*
"Jesus , Dustin , How the hell do you ride that bike everywhere?? " , I say , while trying to catch my breath.
He laughs , "You'll get used to it , don't worry."
We walk into the mall and Dustin quickly scans the place.
"There they are!" he says.
"Who?", I asked.
He ignores my question and says "Just follow me."
He leads us to a group of four kids , there were three boys and one redheaded girl.They all said hi to Dustin and then turned to look at me . They all stared back at each other for a small moment , as if they knew me or something.
*there's a small moment of awkward silence*
"Are you Suzie?" , one of the boys asks.
"OH GOD NO!" , I replied.
Suzie is Dustin's girlfriend and according to Dustin , Suzie was this genius girl he had met during summer camp , who also happens to be "hotter than Phoebe Cates".
"Oh...we just thought that since-" , the boy says , now embarrassed for having asked such a dumb question.
"She's my cousin dude ." Dustin interrupts.
"Hi , I'm Y/N Henderson ." , I introduce myself with a smile , to try and seem polite. "I just moved here from California."
"Y/N is going to be living with my mom and I , from now on , so be nice." He added.
"Hi y/n , sorry about the whole , 'are you suzie' thing , Im Mike ." the boy says.
"Its fine , don't worry about it ." I reply with a small laugh.
"Hi , Im Lucas."
"Im Will."
"And Im Max."
After they all introduce themselves , Dustin quickly says , "Are we gonna get going or are we just going to stand here all day?".
"No , lets go." , Mike replies.
They all start walking towards...an ice cream parlor??
"I thought you said we were going to the movies?" , I asked , genuinely confused.
"We are , just keep following ." , Dustins says as he leads us into the shop.
Mike walks up to the front and repeatedly rings the bell.
"Hey , Dingus , your children are here!" , the girl in the front says.
The window behind her , slings open as a guy with nice brown hair sticks his head out.
"Again?Seriously?" , the guy asks.
He leads us to a door in the back and says ," I swear if anybody hears about this-"
"Were dead." , the kids reply.
I turn around and mouth the words 'thank you' as I continue following the group.He nods his head and walks back inside.
"Who was that?" , I ask.
"The girl in the front was Robin and the guy in the back was Steve." they reply , as we all walk in to the theatre.
"See , we made it" , Max tells Lucas , "Yah , but we missed the previews." , he says , as we all sit down.
*the film ends and you guys are walking out of the theatre*
"So y/n , how old are you ?" , Max asks.
"Im 16. And i'm guessing most of you are 13 or 14 , correct?".
"Yep , 13 going on 14."
"So are you going to Hawkins High ?".
"Yes , I am."
"School starts in a couple days , you know."
"Are you nervous for your junior year ?" , Max adds on to her sentence .
"Just a little." , I lied , I was terrified.
"Im sure you're going to do fine , plus , you have Robin."
"Robin? The girl from the ice cream shop?".
"Yea , she's in her junior year too , i'm sure you two will get along." , she says.
"...right" , I reply.
*you guys walk around the mall for a bit*
"Alright Y/N , it's getting late , we should probably head home." , Dustin says.
"Yea , us too." , all the kids agree and start leaving.
*you guys get home*
"Hey kids , how was it ?", Aunt Claudia asks.
"It was good , we had a great time." , I reply.
"Good.", she answers , with a comforting smile.
*its time for dinner*
*dinner ends*
" I'm gonna go up upstairs and get ready for bed , goodnight."
"Goodnight!" , they both reply.
