Midorima x Reader (Scolding)

Pairing: Midorima Shintaro x Reader

Scene: He scolded you for a mistake until you cried.

His sharp words and cutting tone forced the tears to emerge. You apologised for so many times already but Shintaro was not one who would let such simple mistakes slide. Biting your lip and praying that the tears would not fall, you listened to his lecture. He was angry, that was certain. However, scolding you so angrily in front of the entire basketball team has to be too extreme. 

"How stupid can you be?" Shintaro hissed.

That was the last straw. The tears finally broke their dam and slid down your face. You looked up to see everyone's shocked face. Sobbing, you quickly ran out of the gym. The embarrassment at letting everyone see you cry was making you sob even harder. You did not look at where you are going. You just simply ran. You just wanted to escape the fact that Shintaro was so harshly scolding you not a minute ago. Finally, your legs gave up on you and you crumpled to your knees. You drew them to your chest, sniffling and wailing softly. 

"(First-name)?" You heard the familiar voice of your boyfriend.

You pretended not to hear, still hurt over him lashing out at you for such a stupid mistake. Your tears were still flowing and you hated that you were crying in front of him. In front of everybody.

Without warning, you felt yourself being pulled towards a warm chest. You initially tried to resist but Shintaro would not give up until you were nestled against his chest. He tried to comfort you by apologising and kissing your hair. After a while, your sobs dwindled to hiccups and you began to calm down. 

"I am sorry, (First name). I got too carried away," he murmured.

You could hear his rapid heartbeat and it was calming you down. He must have been worried for his heart beat to be so high.

"I... I am sorry too," you sniffled, breathing in the comforting smell that was him.

His hand gently caressed your hair.

"It is my fault. I shouldn't have been so harsh nanodayo."

At the end, he wiped away your tears and you realised he bought you your favorite drink to accompany his apology.

You: Were you worried about me, Shin-chan?

Shintaro: *blushes* of... Of course not!

You: Ehhh, you weren't? *fakes a sad look*

Shintaro: Ok fine! I was! *pulls you in so that you would not see his blush intensifying*

You: hehe, tsundere~
