"You really are that quiet." Perrie commented. Though Carter had been talking he hadn't been staying in the conversation like both her and Jade had.

"Perrie...." The brunette shot the blonde a look that said 'what the fuck'.

"To be honest I've never been much for talking. Being a chef you learn to just put your head down and cook, talking either gets a pot thrown at your head or makes you burn something." He could feel Jade playing with his fingers as he spoke.

"Thats completely understandable." He shot her a small smile before the two went back into their conversation.

Jade could feel Carters thumb along the back of her knuckles before it stopped. She could see his eyes on the window up front before his hand gently squeezed hers.

"I hate to do this to the both of you but I was supposed to be prepping a half an hour ago and I've got people waiting on me to open the door." Her hand returned the squeeze before he carefully exited the booth. "I hope you both have a good rest of your day. If either one of you would like some food please stop by." His eyes met Jades. "I'll see you later?" She nodded before he gave her a smile.

"See you later Carter." He gave a small wave to Perrie before he quickly exited the shop.

"Ooooo another date?" Jade hesitantly nodded at the blondes words. "Your house or his?"

"Mine." The smirk on Perries face was wide. "Perrie Louise.... I am not trying to get any. I am quite comfortable with where we are right now."

"Have yous kissed?" When Jade turned red the blonde had all the answered she needed. "Did you ever find out if he's been with anyone before?" The brunette nodded hesitantly. "Has he?" Perrie was trying to get all the information. "Jade you know I won't say a thing." She could sense the brunettes hesitation.

"He hasn't." The two women's eyes met.

"All makes sense now." Jade nodded. "He puts his little one first and didn't want to change that until he met you."

"He'd never put her second though." Perrie lightly laughed at her comment.

"As he should. I love Alex but Axel will always be my number one no matter what. When you have a little one you'll understand." A small smile appeared on Jades lips.

"Trust me Pez I wouldn't want it any other way. His little one has been through more than enough and he treats her amazing. I wouldn't want to change that at all." The blonde couldn't help her smile.

"You really are ready for this." The brunette chuckled.

"He's an amazing person and the little one is a sweetheart. We're not rushing towards anything but we are very comfortable in the place we are and I wouldn't change anything about it." The two exchanged a smile as their eyes met.

"I'm happy you're happy Jadey." Perrie said sincerely. The two spoke for another two hours before Grace's shop closed. While Perrie hopped in her car, Jade opted to walk taking the long way home to take up a bit more time. That's when she got the idea to make a cake for their date.

She stopped at a store grabbing the things she needed before quickly making her way home. The cake was made in record time. Just as she finished getting ready she heard a knock at the door.

Jade just about ran to the door nearly tripping over her own feet. When she opened the door she saw Carter holding a bag along with a bouquet of flowers. She couldn't help but blush.

"I feel like I come over with just food way too much." He said softly as he gently handed her the flowers. Her hand to the back of his neck pulling him down to her height before her lips were on his.

"Thank you Buttercup." She said as she pulled away. He chuckled softly as he shook his head.

"Don't need to thank me." He said quietly before she shook her head.

"But I do." Her free hand took his. The two effortlessly made of through dinner before they moved to her large couch.

Without even thinking Jade curled into Carter. His arm was around her almost immediately. She relaxed into him as his lips pressed to her temple. There was no hesitation as he pulled her more into him. Her body just about melted into his.

"Do you have to get back to Elsie?" He shook his head.

"She's with Grace for the night. Though I do have to get her before Grace opens." She nodded as her head moved to rest along his shoulder. She wanted to ask him to stay but she didn't know how. She didn't want anything more than to just talk with him until they both fell asleep.

"You want to watch a movie?" She was secretly hoping he would say yes.

"Would you mind if we just chilled and talk? I honestly don't think I could focus on a movie." She looked up at him.

"Long day?" He sighed as he nodded.

"I swear everyone had their panties in a bunch and being late kicked off their hatred toward me today." Her hand carefully moved to run along his thigh. "And don't get me wrong I would be late any day if it meant I got to spend time with you but fuck me people can be assholes." Her lips on his shoulder drew a sigh from him.

"I promise you next time I'll tell Perrie to fuck off." He chuckled as he shook his head.

"There's no need for that. I just lost track of time. Usually I'm better with it but today my mind was just elsewhere." Jade couldn't help but wonder if she was distracting him and causing issues.

"Am I...?" She trailed off as he shook his head.

"Not at all. I was just tired today and too worried about what to say to Perrie." He said quietly. Her head tilted before her lips brushed his cheek.

"Don't worry about Perrie. She already likes you." She could see a small smile appear on his lips.

"Well that's good to know." Her lips met his for a moment before she pulled away nodding. As their eyes met she felt bold.

"Would you stay?" She could see his eyes studying hers. "I promise you, I'm looking for nothing more than a proper cuddle...." Before she could even continue his lips were along hers gently stopping her words.

"I've been dying for a good cuddle Jade. As long as you want me to stay I will." Her eyes met Carter's before she nodded. Jades next words were quiet.

"I really would like that."
