[hi guys this is my first oneshot thing blah blah you kno the vibes also didn't proof read or edit this so 🤞]
"Do you think we'll even work, Nance?"
"Robin, baby, I'd do anything for you, and my love for you." Nance whispered while cupping Robin's face with her warm hands. "I wouldn't let anything happen to you."
"But what if they find out?" A tear fell from Robin's eye.
"They won't."
"I don't think we can do this." Teary eyed- Robin looks her in the eyes.
"Robin, I love you. I hate the word love, but I love you a lot. I would fight for you, for our love, anything if that meant I could keep loving you."
"I love you too, Nance, I do. It's so hard, I'm so scared to love you. What if your reputation is ruined because of me? I can't be the reason for that."
What Robin was saying broke Nancy's heart. She couldn't bare to see the person she loved the most so hurt by the person she is. "You'd never ruin that. There's bigger problems in the world, this town, than us. I promise. I wouldn't let anything happen to you."
Robin grabbed Nancy's hand to hold it. Nance's hands were always strangely soft, softer than soft. Tears slowly rolling down her face, one by one. Robin knew she couldn't lose her, she was the one in a million girl, every girl or boy wishes they had. At this moment, Robin took in what she had. She had a treasure of the sea, the purest gold, something most people would never experience.
She fell into Nancy's shoulder, now sobbing profusely. "I'm sorry Nancy. I hardly understand what I have, or what I wouldn't have if I lost you. I leave you, you're who I want."
Nancy's arms immediately went around Robin, one on her back, the other running through her hair. This was the first time in the eight months Nancy had seen Robin like this, or this bad at least. She didn't know how to fully react to what was happening. All she did know is that she wanted to love Robin, no matter the consequences. "I don't want you to feel obligated to love me, if you don't think the time is right for us, it's understandable. Life is scary, but not as scary with you."
"No."
"No what?"
"I don't feel obligated to love you, Nancy. I just don't know how we'll live together in a world like this."
"I'm not really sure, but I wouldn't want to find out with anyone else." Tears filled Nancy's eyes finishing the sentence. She was never much of a crier but things were different when it came to Robin.
Nancy's shirt was wet from Robin's tears, both overwhelmed with emotions. They didn't know what to do. If they were aware or not, they still wanted to love each other. There was a mutual silence between them until
"Nance... I can't leave you, even through all my stupid breakdowns like these."
"I won't leave you, I'd never leave you Robin."
"Are you sure? What if I keep having these stupid breakdowns.. again and again?" Robin mumbled.
Nancy took Robin's head and cupped it in her hands once more. "I am sure." She scooted as close to Robin as she could. "I love you, and I always will"
A smile came through all of Robin's tears, "I love you too, more than anything."
One thing that always made Robin feel better was kisses, anywhere. And so Nancy took lightly put her finger tips on Robin's jaw, softly kissing her on the center of her cheek.
Robin then took her hand and moved it away from her jaw. Just to put her hand on Nancy's jaw, bringing her in for a kiss on her lips. Robin always loved Nance's lips, she always used mint chapstick that lingered on Robin's lips even hours after they last kissed.
And then Nance pulled away, "we're going to be okay, I promise."
