When leaders, businessmen and gangsters use the resources at their command
To dupe, and so build empires,
Nations break.
When scientists, scholars and philosophers propound theories that weaken
Instead of strengthening, and so create fallacies,
Nations break.
When theologians, godmen and spiritualists cast spells in the name of god
And religion, and so fuel self-doubt,
Nations break.
When common man wallowing in the mire of prosperity thinks only
Of his rights, and so shrugs off his responsibilities,
Nations break.
When mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, cousins and all
Forget their roots, and so tear the bonds of love and care,
Nations break.
So wake up each teen and middle-ager,
Each person irrespective of gender,
And answer the call ....
Our world is shaking, and it is up to us
To stop it breaking,
Soon it will be too late....
