『School days』

Jey and I met in 2nd grade during recess, We had already known each other for most of the school year. We were best friends and even had a playground marriage with a ring pop, So no matter what we went through or how far apart we were from each other, We would be best friends.

But 6 years later in 8th grade, Our friendship turned into something more than just friends, Jey asked me out, Well in his own way, "Can we play (Your fave video game) at your house Benji?" I said "Yeah! We can stop at the store to get some snacks before haha" I was hungry so all I was thinking of was (Your fave snack/chip) But I didn't know that weekend was gonna change my life for the worst. School had just gotten out at 3:15 pm So I started grabbing my books and stuff I had left in my locker, I met jey at the lockers since ours were next to each other, So I said "Hey jey, Can't wait for this weekend" in an exciting tone, Jey was just looking down while pulling his sleeves over his arm, I felt bad because I knew his parents were homophobic, And he would sh in his room anytime his parents would fight about his older brother being gay. The day his older brother left the house for good It meant jey was the only one they could yell at, He never came out to them because he knew that if he did his parents would make him live on the streets. He knew he was gay deep down in his heart but always pressed it down thinking it was a "Phase", So he could live in his parents house and not get picked on at school.

I hugged him tightly to cheer him up letting him know everything will be okay and that I'm always here for him, I could feel his smile even though I didn't see it, He said "Uh my parents are gone this weekend for business would you want to come over?" in my ear while hugging me and I said "Yea lets do it, You know I love seeing you on the weekends" "Same" he said it with more joy in his tone this time, I realized I was still hugging him when he said "Can you maybe let go I wanna breath" I blushed while I let go of him, Rubbing my hand behind my neck I said "Haha sorry, Let's get going" We just walked to the store since it was like two blocks away from our school and almost a block away from my house. I grabbed some sour patch kids and jey grabbed the gummy worms & A ring pop, I didn't even see him grab it since he went to check out while I was in the candy aisle looking at all the new flavors and checking for the strawberry banana gummies, I found them and walked to checkout but jey had already bought everything by the time I got there so I just bought our candy and we left to start walking to my house Since it was Friday we didn't have any homework, So jey could stay as long as he wanted.

-Time skip to Benji's house-

I unlocked the door since my mom was at work till later that night, We took off our shoes we had painted last summer and put them on the rack. I went to the kitchen to make us some food, I went into the fridge and found some leftover Pasta (PASTAH) I got us each a bowl and warmed some up on the stovetop, While jey waited he sat on the cold marble island, I jumped up with him and watched the pasta get warmer. I hadn't turned the lights on so the only light we had was from the windows which wasn't much since the sun was starting to set soon.
I started playing with jeys soft fluffy curls and it all flashed past me, He leaned in and kissed me on the lips God it felt so good I've never had my first kiss, And never expected it to be with jey but it was so euphoric. I leaned in and kissed him back closing my eyes to take in every moment, Jey paused and said: "Is the pasta burning?" I jumped out of the kiss and turned the stove off making sure the noodles didn't get mushy.

It was already 6:30 pm I didn't realize how late it was since it was still light out making it look like 4 pm, I told jey "My mom should be coming home soon wanna go upstairs?" He was still re-living the kiss while he let out a "Sure" I grabbed our bowls and pulled him upstairs since he was kinda dazed, He flopped on my bed then crawled to sit against the headboard
