Katrina's POV
"Hey, I'm going to go clean downstairs" I walked out of the room that I share with my cousin, Jennifer to clean before my aunt came home. You would think that the girl that's almost an adult would be doing the cleaning, but no. The seventeen year old that's only lived here for two weeks is doing everything.I'm Katrina. I'm seventeen years old and I live in London England. I've wanted to live here since I was little, but my parents didn't want me to be exposed to the city life, or anywhere that wasn't Little Rock Arkansas. My parents died in a car accident about a month ago. My grandma never really liked me, so she sent me to live with my aunt in England. She got me enrolled in 'college' which I thought was known as high-school everywhere, but I guess I was wrong. I'll be starting in one week, and I'm not excited at all.
"Kat, I'm having some friends over, could you make us some tea?" Jennifer yelled down the stairs as I was cleaning the desk. "Oh, yeah, sure." I walked into the kitchen and put on the kettle. Jenn and I have been best friends all our lives. She'd come to Arkansas on vacation every year and we'd go horseback riding, and cause trouble with everyone. It was always fun having her around. She was like the big sister I never had.

"Jenn, your friends are here, and they're very impatient." I yelled, turning around in my aunt's spinning chair. I could hear Jenn running down the stairs to open the door. On her way through, she ruffled my hair and kissed the top of my head to say 'thank you'. "Do you have to do that every time, Jenn?" I rolled my eyes playfully. Quickly, I put Pandora on, listening to the We are the in Crowd radio. It was my favorite because Jenn and I would listen to it and sing along all the time.
"Kat, this is my friend Jack, his brother Finn, and his friend, for reasons that I do not understand, Samuel. Guys, this is my little cousin."
Samuel gave her a weird look, so I guessed he didn't like being called that.
"Hey, I'm Kat."
"Nice accent. Where are you from?" Sam seemed surprised to hear my accent."I'm from Arkansas. It's like Narnia. Only cool people come from there." Oh why did I say that? I get so lame around new people. I saw Finn smile, so I guess it wasn't that bad.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Kat. Oh, hey, Jenn, we really need to get started on this video." Jack nudged Jenn and started going upstairs. I went back to cleaning, ignoring everyone else in the house. "Oh, Jenn. The tea is ready for you guys." I mentioned quickly before she went upstairs. "Thanks, kiddo." She ruffled my hair and ran upstairs. It kind of annoyed me that she thought she was so much older. We're only one year apart.

Thank you for reading. I'm sorry if it's a bit boring. This is my first fanfiction so I'm really sorry if it's terrible, but I'd like it if you'd keep reading. Please comment so I know if I need to improve on anything. Thanks again! :)
