2 years Earlier

my life have been perfectly stable up until about two weeks ago. Hanson and con,. the company that I had been employed by for the last three years, had recently gotten shout down. thus, resulting into thousand of people being abruptly unemployed and it's all thanks to our ill-fated economy. I'm not surprised because I knew this day would come eventually. this signs of impending doom were all there but I did't think- or want to believe- that it'd actually happen, and so soon at that.

I'm not even upset with the company personally because I know that it's not their fault. hell, they're losing a lot more than I am so I can't really complain. they have some good years under their belt but profit wise, especially here recently things just kept getting worse and worse.

FORTUNATELY, I was one of the lucky few that managed to get back up after the bog fall. After getting that dreaded termination letter a few weeks ago that explained what was going to be happening to Henson and Co. I immediately started filling out applications for similar secretarial work around town. with all my finances I could't afford to be out of commission for too long.

So when i got a call from Bash Inc. A few days ago i nearly fainted when the told me that they they wanted to bring me in for interview. I know that i had snagged the job, that's why i was so stoked. such a successful company like that would n't waste their time by doing countless amounts of interviews with people if they didn't intend to hiring the person. Besides, I heard through the grapevine that if you get a call back from them you're practically already hired.

If things turn out to be the opposite of what i have in mind right now, I'll be absolutely devastated. No one's called me back form all the other places that I've applied to so if some reason things go south today- I'm beyond screwed. I don't have a pan B. My last resort is jumping back into retail or fast food, something that's not going to be enough to pay all my bills.

Nicki , I Sighed in disagreement as I exited my bathroom. I gave her a disapproving look as she lay stretched out on my bed, glaring at me with a wide grin. '' this outfit is so... constricting. this isn't me. I mean, do i look office appropriate?

she hopped up in excited as she walked over to me , checking me out. it was her clothes that I was wearing after all. ''Demi honey, you look sexy! this is totally you! the red blouse looks beautiful on you and the skirt show off those stunning legs and pretty round your ass that you always keeping hidden. you know, if you're lucky, you might be able to catch yourself a man today.

i playfully rolled my eyes at her as I walked over to my mirror. Running my hand over the front of the front black pencil skirt I gazed at myself in wonder. True, in this type of particular clothing I did indeed look sexy and sophisticated; a side of me that I've yet embrace. Don't ask me why. I had to admit that outfit did give me a boost of confidence that would surly come in handy as I head in for my big interview.

However , It really wasn't me. my taste in more on the simple side. plain is what Nicki would call it, she's blunt and honest which is what i love about her. Ever since our path crosses years ago in college we've been tight ever since. she's the extrovert that I strive to be. if ever needed anyone to be honest with me, I'd never have doubt Nicki.
