" One of the best feelings is finding someone who really gets you. A person who lets you be vulnerable and honest. The kind of person who encourages you to push past your flaws because they accept you as you are. Someone who never tells you that you're too much of this and too little of that. Because to them you're just enough of everything they love."

— Sylvester McNutt

He gently lifted her in his arms and made his way to their room.

26 years ago, it was just his room. His room in which he had practiced his love confession to Anupama, had weaved the dreams of Anupama being his wife and having a happy family with her in that room, and had cried when his dreams were shattered. He had moved to the united states as his dreams were shattered and after 26 long years when he finally married the love of his life, he finally was making his way towards his room, which would be now termed as their room. He was a happy soul. He was a contented person as the realization that his love was finally his wife slowly sank into his heart.

And for her, he had taught her the true meaning of love. She began to dream about having love in her life after coming out of a toxic marriage just because of him, her Anuj. She believed, and she also knew that she could overcome any obstacle with his support. He was her love, her guide, her biggest support in her life. The most beautiful thing she could have ever wished for was to be his wife, feeling protected by being in his arms.

They entered their room, and the room was painted with the hues of blue and white. The fragrance of fresh flowers and the aroma of lavender-scented candles welcomed them... The bed was covered with rose petals, and tube-rose strings hanged over the bed, trying to act as a net for that bed...

He delicately placed her on the bed while her mangalsutra became entangled in the button of his kurta. They both had an intense eyelock as he extended his hand to assist her with the mangalsutra, and for a brief minute, they became immersed in one another gazing into each other's eyes that were solely filled with love. They eventually became aware of how close they were to one another and composing himself he shifted his concentration from her and focused on disentangling the mangalsutra, and sprinted 2 steps away once he was successful in the work he was doing. His lips curled into a slight smile in response to her mumbled thanks for his assistance, and this was followed by their silence that filled their room.

In order to break that awkward silence that had descended around them, he casually remarked that he was going to change his dress and asked her to change if she wished to into something more comfortable in the meantime, because her lehenga and jewellery were somewhat heavy.Taking his black trousers and pairing them with a light brown t-shirt, he made his way towards the washroom.

Anupama looked around and closely watched their bedroom in the meantime, during which her hands inadvertently found their way to the rose petals that were spread out on their bed. The flashes of her wedding night with her ex-husband suddenly flashed before her eyes, and she lost her composure for a second and got out of bed to compose herself. She was now married to Anuj. It was not right to think about her ex-husband at this point in her life, but she was unable to stop her own thoughts from racing that presumably painful night.

Keeping those thoughts aside, she walked over to the dressing table and gazed in the mirror, admiring her beauty, which was now accentuated by some bridal jewellery that had been left off of her after Anuj had assisted her in the drawing room by removing the majority of her bulky jewellery, such as her neckpiece and bangles.
