"Ow ow ow" Rhea whimpered, reaching for her foot in the straddle position.

"It hurts that much?" you ask, doing the same stretch in front of her.

"Yes, it does hurt that much" she groaned, rolling over onto her stomach and collapsing on the soft black ground. "Why do I even have to do this?" she mumbled into the mat.

"Because stretching loosens your muscles so they aren't tense when you wake up tomorrow" you inform her, shaking out your legs.

"I don't get tense" Rhea denied holding herself up by her elbows and looking at you out of the corner of her eye with a slightly menacing tone.

"Good for you, because it also reduces the risk of you pulling a muscle". You stand up and walk over to her, sneakers squishing into the cushy mat. "And it gets easier the more you do it". You bend over and wrap your arms around her waist before pulling her back up to face you.

"Are we done yet?" she asked, breath a little heavier than usual.

"I have one more," you said more enthusiastic about protracting muscles. "And it requires both of us so you'll like it". You sat down and motioned with your right hand for her to follow. When Rhea was on the floor with you, you pressed your feet against hers and grabbed her hands. "Okay, now pull on my arms" you instruct her.

"Okay," she says, following your command and leaning backward. In her motion back your torso moves forward towards the ground.

After thirty seconds, you straighten up and pull on her arms, doing the same thing she did to you. "It shouldn't be sharp but you will feel pulling in your legs" you explain.

As soon as she leaned forward she sucked in her breath. "Oh, it's pulling all right".

You stopped then, keeping her in that position. "Hold it for half a minute".

It was probably the longest half-minute of Rhea's life, with plenty of whining. You let go of her arms
and she laid down again.

You stand up and kneel in front of her head, looking down over her. "You're done now".

She sat up and looked over her shoulder at you. "I am never doing that again".

"I know," you say, looking around the large gym thoughtfully before softly kissing her forehead.
