The Reunion
"Where do you come from?" The little wizard asked.
"I am sorry, but I cannot remember everything except my name."
"It's okay, Arthur. You can stay here as long as you want." The old wizard said and chuckled.
"What?... Why? He is a complete stranger, Henddyn. Why should we help him? I mean, he might bring danger by his side. The little wizard argued.
"Merlin. That is rude. Arthur is just in front of you. Thus, you are the one who saved him from that beast and brought him here." Said Henddyn.
"He was in desperate need of help at that moment —"
"He still is now."
"But it was different from letting him live with us."
"Why are you acting tuff now? You were just sneaking some food and water for him a moment ago."
"It's —"
"Excuse me." The newcomer Arthur said that stopped the argument between the two wizards. "It will be alright if Merlin does not want me to live in here. I respect his decision on the matter of security. I will just finish this food, and I will keep going." He added.
"Going where?" Henddyn asked.
"Going somewhere," Arthur responded.
Henddyn looked soulfully at Merlin to awaken its conscience. The young Arthur has nothing to take shelter on and feed his already roaring belly.
"All right. I'll let Arthur... stay here." Merlin suddenly said.
Arthur sprung out of his chair and hastily went to Merlin's side, hugged him from the back, and said, "Thank you very much, Merlin. I now owe you two."
A sudden vibration, together with an aching sensation, awakens Philip. Clasping his stomach, he looked around and noticed that he hadn't been back yet to his actual world. After the day they spent together with adrenaline, Philip forgot to eat dinner. Now his stomach is seeking justice — wildly. After a while, he noticed someone in his shelter groaning in pain.
"Arthur, are you hungry too?" the also-hungry Bevyn asked.
"Yeah. It feels like my stomach is already eating its own." Philip responded.
"Let's go eat breakfast... a heavy one."
Philip agreed, and they both went outside their shelter. It is still early in the morning, for the sun hasn't risen yet. The whole community on this mountain slope is still asleep, but someone is in the kitchen. Clattering sounds echoed in their sense of hearing. Philip and Bevyn quickly step ahead in the direction, and they are both surprised at who they saw in the kitchen.
"Adenydd?" Philip and Bevyn said in unison — out of surprise
Adenydd froze in her spot. She is eating rice from the pot only with her bare hands. A head suddenly popped out from the side of the table.
"Merlin?" Philip and Bevyn said again in unison — still out of surprise.
Merlin suddenly rises from the table, revealing a piece of bread and meat in both hands. Philip and Bevyn looked at each other and then at the two mice — secretly consuming the food. They also noticed that few foods were left in the kitchen, so they decided to fight for them.
"Ahhhh!" Bevyn screamed out of fury and charged toward a food's direction.
Philip, Adenydd, and Merlin rapidly charged, too, grabbing the chance to feed their empty stomach. They rumbled in the kitchen, fighting over a piece of food while eating it, making loud noises like a cat and mouse scene in the kitchen.
