As soon as I stepped inside the beautiful building I was greeted and shown to the table.
"Ah darling so great to see you!" My mother said air kissing my cheek as I sat down.
"Would you like some wine?" She asked and smirked as I nodded.
She snapped her fingers and a waiter came walking to our table with three glasses and a bottle of red wine.
"Mike owns four winery's across the country, so we can get whatever you prefer if you don't like this one."
She looked at me and watched as the waiter came to me and filled my glass. I brought the glass to my lips and let the sweet liquid linger on my tongue before I swallowed.
"Good?" She asked and I nodded and focused my eyes on the menu. "Great." She said as she turned to Rebecca.
"So, darling, how've you been? Did you get the check I sent you for the sorority's charity fair?"
Rebecca nodded "How much was on the check again?" She asked, obviously knowing how much was on it.
"Two thousand dollars." My mother said taking a sip of wine.
She just wanted to hear her say it again.
"Oh, right." Rebecca said and laughed.
My mother turned to face me and said "Have you decided what to eat yet? I would suggest just getting a salad, you could loose a few pounds."
I snapped my head up from the menu and glared at her.
"What?" She asked, obviously surprised at my reaction.
"Just stating the facts sweetheart." She said smiling.
I was about to loose it. I guess she noticed how uneasy I was so she changed the subject.
"How was church this morning girls?" Rebecca said Great at the same time as I said horrible.
As soon as the words left my mouth Rebecca had turned to me and just glared.
"What?" I screamed causing a few people to stare.
"What do you mean horrible?" My mother asked looking at me in a disgusted way.
"Oh my bad. I'm so sorry! I forgot we had to act like we enjoyed everything to keep people from seeing that we weren't perfect. Sorry that I'm not a selfish bitch like you two." I spit and jumped out of my chair causing my wine to spill all over the table cloth and my sisters white coat.
I turned and started to walk out until I heard my mother yell "Get back here young lady!"
I turned around and glared at her.
"Come apologize to your sister for ruining her coat and to the rest of the people in the restaurant whose meals you disturbed."
I looked at her and finally said "Why would I want to apologize to all these bitches who act like they are better than everyone else, just like you."
I saw my mother's jaw drop as my sister stood up from the table and hurried to the bathroom. I think she was crying? I gave my mother the middle finger as I turned to the door, pulling my sunglasses over my eyes and walking to the bus stop.
When I finally arrived back at campus I tiredly walked to my dorm and opened the door to an empty room. I let out a groan wondering where Lindsy could be and decided to get in the shower. I turned it on, quickly undressed, and then jumped into the scorching hot water and let it relax my tense muscles.
I grabbed my razor and decided to shave my legs about five times so I could just enjoy the warm water. After shampoo and conditioning my hair, the water started to run cold so I turned it off and grabbed towel. When I opened the bathroom door Lindsy was sitting on her bed.
