The Offering

One step at a time

Hi, my name is Colby I'm new to this writing stuff so just bare with me sorry if there are errors:)
2011,it's November and Derek and Brad are walking home from their usual philosophy course, "do you feel as if the professor was a little skittish?" "Yeah," Brad said replying "but he sure did like to talk about God, I guess that's a plus!" Once they had made to their house right across the street from each other with their neighbors Susie and Kate. When they had a party at Derek's house Brad, Susie, Kate, and Derek all walk down the road as they do the car stop out of nowhere a older man mid-forties come up from behind and left at each curb of the four-way intersection they were standing in an item based on the persons personality. Once the man had left everyone had walked over. To the objects the man had left and picked up what they got. (at this point neither one of them knew what it was.)
Once each one of them touched it a ring based on what color the piece was formed around the four of them the ring started to spin the streetlights started to short out and at the time they blinked they vanished!once they had reappeared they had landed in some type of vehicle like a bus and Kate had realized her "item" the strange man left fit perfectly in a hole on the console of the bus. Then it started to glow and gradually got brighter then Derek's started glowing, then Brads and Susie's! "What in the world are these things!" Derek asks rhetorically, "They might be just part of a prank,"Brad says jokingly " this is no prank!" Is spoken from a far distance.
