Tyler's POV
--------------------
"BIG BROTHER" I run down the stairs almost tripping and falling on the concrete face first. After stumbling down the last few I straighten up looking around the familiar basement, infected by my brother Jackson practically living down here for the last couple weeks.

"What, you little rat." He turned around his swivel chair and looked at me with bored yet annoyed eyes.

"The police are here brother." Looking at him with scared eyes hoping he'll get that I'm scared as hell and about ready to run upstairs and bolt out of here faster than sonic the hedgehog. His eyes change in an instant along with his face.

"C'mere Tyler, hide next to me." I do as he says and move next to him in hurried clumsy movements as footsteps come to the door from the top of the stairs. A man in uniform comes down.

"Hey kid, there's no need to hide from us. We're good guys, like from your movies." The guy coming down the stairs said expecting to see a scared 10 year old in a corner hiding from the scary upstairs. Instead he was meet with my 16 year old brother with his pocket knife out ready to hurt or kill anyone who touches his little brother hiding behind him. "Hey kid, put the knife down." The guy put his gun up slightly showing he could shoot my brother at any given moment. My brother tightened his grip on his knife and stood taller, moving in front of me.

"You can't kill me. That's against your protocols." The guy with the gun put it back it was in defeat, knowing my brother was right. (Idk police protocol man leave me alone. 🙃)

"Alright I won't shoot. Just don't hurt me, again, I'm the good guy here."
"Brothers the good guy here." I say on top of a book shelf leading to the window aka my escape from this madness. I look my brother in the eyes hoping to tell him I'm going to our designated spot. And before anything else could happen, I open the window and crawl out. Stand. And run as fast as I can past the cops and concerned looks from our neighbors to an old park that me and Jackson have made our safe spot and climb to the very top and wait for him to get here.

After what feels like days on top of the playground I see Jackson running from something. Pocket knife still in hand. He sees me about to get down and runs even faster allowing me to see the thing he's running from. It's the cops. He's done something. Probably one of his episodes at the worst time. He climbs up in fluid practiced motions. Sitting next to me as the cops get to the playground, I can no longer see anything as Jackson has pulled me into his chest, protecting me form the visual trauma and also protecting himself from getting shot in the chest by one of the many cops below.

"GET DOWN FROM THERE!! DON'T HURT THAT KID!" One of the cops, or should I say bad guys shouted at my brother. He wasn't gonna hurt me, I keep him calm, so I shove my body into his as he looked down at the cops, then himself again. He looked at his bloody knife. I could feel his breathing get heavy as he wanted to throw the last good memory with our parents after the divorce. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. At least, that's what I'm assuming happened as I heard the knife close and felt him out it in his pocket. The police walk towards the edge of the playground, guns ready to shoot if there is one wrong move from my brother. "Come down here." He moved his gun with his words as my brother grabbed me to keep me from falling off. "Slide the kid down, I will catch him. Ok." He didn't let go of me and fully got off if the playground. Kneeling down placing me firmly with my face to his chest between his legs. "Hand over the kid."

"I will follow any other rule or order you give me, but you may not take my little brother... Unless you want me to have another episode." I could hear the smirk in the last few words of his trailed off sentence. I could feel the polices eyes leave me and my brother, most likely to look at the men around him. I turned my head to see the situation. "How's the situation with our parents going, got 'em in prison yet?"

"Perfectly fine." The one with the most pins stepped forward and snarled down at me and my brother. "And if you hadn't just stabbed one of my men I would be more than glad to tell you." I glance at his eyes and see them start to go more psycho. I press my body into his almost knocking him over. I glance up at him again and see him glancing down at me. Him realizing I'm right there. He calms some. I relax knowing he won't do it, but still keeping close in case they try to take me away from him... That can't happen... He won't-
