The maids bathe me and helped me put on that dress, it's so fit on my body and I think it's her signature color... red

A lot of jewelry we're put on my body and I think this is too much...

I still hate her to death tho, you think I'll forget how she killed my friends and father in the past

But this is for the empire, I must accept my fate.

I took a deep breath and the door opened and I smiled when I saw Valerie waiting for me holding a new doll

"Hi mommy, you look pretty... prettier than Momma of course!"

She giggled and I smiled and patted her head

Earlier this girl isn't showing any emotions but now she's smiling and laughing freely, was it because Esmeray saved her?

"You look pretty too honey, do you want to walk around the place?"

I asked and held her hands, she then nodded her head and walk happily by my side

We managed to find where the garden is and the maids will be back with Valerie's cookies

"Valerie, can you tell me where you came from? Where are your real parents?"

I asked and she paused and turned to look at me

"... I can only remember when Papa killed Mama because he said I'm not his daughter and I'm a monster"

She mumbled and I gasped then pulled her in for a tight hug

"Don't worry Valerie, we won't hurt like that man"

I whispered and Valerie lifted her head and smiled

"Milady, we brought your cookies"

Valerie turned to that voice and I was surprised to see Esmeray smiling at us like she won the lottery

I raised my brow at her and when she was in front of us she gave me lips a peck and that made me blush furiously

"Stop that"

I snarled but she just chuckled and Valerie hopped off my lap and went towards her seat to eat the cookies

"You look gorgeous, as expected..."

She mumbled and scanned me from head to toe, I just hummed in response and sat there embarrassed

She then offered her hand so I took it and stood up

"The ball is about to start, let's wait for Valerie to finish, and let's go together"

She kissed my forehead and I could not believe that this woman in front of me is the same woman who massacred all those peoples

"Momma!"

We both flinched when Valerie shouted for some reasons

"Yes, sweetheart?" Esmeray asked

"Mommy said she loves me more hehe"

Valerie laughed and Esmeray turned to me and hugged me tight

"W-What are you doing?! Esmeray, let go"

She buried her face in my neck and all of a sudden she bit my shoulder playfully making me shriek

"You're mine... Valerie that's enough cookies honey"

She pulled away and held Valerie's hand and walk away

"Did you see that! Our Queen is turning soft because of a mere huma-"

The guards were cut off when Esmeray and Valerie appeared behind them

"Valerie" Esmeray mumbled and Valerie hissed at them

"Don't talk behind my Mommy's back!"
