Vera and Danielle were sat around the two person table at their favourite cafe.

Enjoying a nice cup of coffee, black of course.

Vera enjoyed the bitter taste it left that made her feel more awake at 9am. Danielle was just addicted to any type of coffee and decided to get black coffee.

"I remember dragging you out of bed this morning." Danielle laughed at the slight wince that passed Vera's face.

The morning sun rose effortlessly into Vera's window. Highlighting her facial features, her eyes shut and her mouth slightly open as soft snores escaped through.

Danielle had went into their kitchen and grabbed some pots and pans quickly went into Vera's room.

"Wake up bitch we have a long day ahead of us." She screamed whilst banging the pots and pans together.

"I did not deserve that." Vera frowned with a slight pout upset Danielle couldn't find another way.

Almost like a second sense Vera pulled Danielle under the table as the shop windows exploded and fearful customers screamed out.

Vera eyes glistened white only snapping out of it when Danielle whispered, "Not right now."

"Why does it always have to be the H word." Vera mumbled watching Tony Stark or Iron Man address the villain.

Vera looked around at the carnage happening around her, people having blood splattered over them due to the glass cuts some screaming out in agony due to the big ones.

"I'll deal with this, you go out there." Danielle hurriedly passed Vera her bag. Vera watched on in slight awe as her best friend helped the wounded.

Shaking her head she rushed into a bathroom stall before with a click of her hand she transformed into her suit. Looking in the bathroom mirror she saw her hair that was once done and pulled into braids. Practical. The stray hairs cascading down her face however disagreed. Her black suit covers her neck like a turtle neck top however instead of being long sleeved it was short sleeved in fact just coming over her shoulders with a navy blue hem. The suit at the bottom flaring out like trousers with the blue hem going round the base before leaving a trail up with chrysanthemum flowers going up to her knees.

Laughing at the irony.

Using her magic to transport herself in the shadows she realised she was practically invisible to those partaking in the fight. Allowing her magic to suffocate the area.

"Stone keeper... Does this chattering animal speak for you?" The weird villain asked.

"Certainly not. I speak for myself. But you're trespassing in this city and on this planet." One of the Eldritch magic users then. As if just noticing the weird looking villain looked in her direction.

"Ah, Death's chosen. Has he finally decided he wants to join the party." He mocked the deity his arms open his face gleaming with delight.

"It means get lost Squidward!" Tony shouted bring the attention away from the uncomfortable teen.

"He exhausts me. Bring me the Stone." The creepy creature snaps his fingers as what seems like henchmen come to attack them.

Vera's eyes glassed over with rage as a black mist enveloped her fingers before trailing up her arm and disposing over the ugly creatures rendering them of sight until she lost concentration.

A sudden flying piece of metal hits her in the stomach making her grunt out in discomfort.

One of the eldritch wizards comes up to her and blocks attacks attempted towards her and Bruce Banner.

"Are you okay?" Bruce asks his eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the girl trying to understand why she was here and what the alien meant by deaths chosen.

"Yep. Yeah I'll be healed up in a moment." She groaned as she pulled the sharp piece out of her abdomen.

"Ah okay." His lips pulled into a frown.

"You need some help." She questioned Tony as he got shot back.

"Who are you again?" Tony rose a brow.

"Clearly not as well known as you." She rolled her eyes.

A blade from the creppy creature shot out and attached itself to her neck.

She grimaced at the pain.

It felt like her cells where cracking one by one not breaking but cracking.

She felt death's presence trying to numb the pain however as it dug deeper it struck like a viper into her artery.

She faintly hear Tony say, "That wasn't cool. We were just starting to get along." Trying to distract himself from the grusome death.

-
"Why did he even bring the girl here?" Peter asked out of curiosity.

"We've gotta turn this ship around." Strange starting to get agitated.

"Yeah. Now he wants to run. Great plan." Tony snapped.

"Uhh guys" Peter trailed watching as the girl they presumed to be dead, her neck started to heal.

"No, I want to protect the stone." Strange frustrated crossed his arms.

"And I want you to thank me. Go ahead. I'm listening." Tony looked at him with a smug look.

"Thank you." A feminine voice cut in Peter watched in with an 'o' shape. "I would say if you brought my body to safety however it seems as if you decided to save the wizard not knowing who I am."

"Again, who are you?"

"I go by many titles Death's chosen, Death's blessed. Death's touch." She smirked as she saw the gears in the Strange's head spinning.

"However you may call me Vera Williams." She said giving a mock bow.
