Chapter #1
I walked into my room looking for my bag. I walked out of the room and glanced down the hall.
"Mom" I yelled
"Yes, I'm in the kitchen!" She replied.
"This place is a dump", she muttered under her breath. I agreed. When you looked around you saw 2 packing boxes we had to unpack. The apartment we were moving into was as ugly as hell. The walls were covered in chipped paint. Wall paper was showing through and the once white carpet was the color of burgh green and I didn't want to know why. The door was broken so you had to lift it up when you want to lock it .The beds felt like cement covered in nails. I looked up , mom was crying again. She summons me over.
"Dex"
"Yes mom"
"We need money bad", she stated.
"I know" That day I rode my skateboard around the neighborhood. Trash was in every nook and cranny. Pitts' were chained to trees barking aggressively at one another. I heard yelling and screaming from a house up the road. A boy a few years older than me walked out and got on his BMX bike and rode away.
My mom said we were here because we were poor. I think were here because she doesn’t want to become poor, paying all those big bills at are old house. I wondered were that boy went and what his name was. I started home when I saw the same guy return with a rabbit skin in his bike cup holder.
I pondered where he had gone to get a rabbit skin. I started to get a head ache. I turned a 360 and headed home.
