Chapter 2:

Beep Beep Beep Beep!

" Ugh" I managed to groan. Ah, my lovely waking up ritual. I skimmed my eyes over my pillow to the clock saying it was 5:30 AM. I ungracefully swung both of my skinny legs over the bed and onto the floor. Getting a hold of my balance from laying down to standing, I dizzily wondered myself downstairs. Walking over to my Kitchen, I looked over at the answering machine to read 2 new messages. I pressed the button to listen to them curiously.

" Hey, Shay its Aunt Donna the best Aunt ever! I was wondering if you come to a Barbecue I'm throwing with Dave's family. It's this Saturday at 2 actually come at noon to help me set up. Please call me back as soon as you can! I love you and Jonathan has been itching to see you too!" The recored message answered. I guess I could go since I am her only family left and I love Dave's family, her husband well my uncle. I also love my cousin Jonathan, he's 4 years old and so little and cute. Alright why not I'll go let me just call her ba-.

"Next new message- Hi Shayla it's Harry from One Direction, I was just thinking since we are going to be working together for quite sometime we should get to know each other so if you can please come meet me and the boys at Starbucks next to Studio before we start this morning ok? Alright see you soon, love, bye." The message player spoke. Wait what? How did he even get my number? This is all getting creepy.

( 2 hours later)

I walked up to the door of Starbucks with a very business face on. I wore blue skinny jeans and a plain pink t-shirt and black converse sneakers. My hair was pulled up into a ponytail out of my face since it was May and warm outside. It was my usual look.

" Hey Shayla" Niall said from across the room.

" Hi boys" I said in a nod sitting in a chair next to Louis.

" Oh great you again." Louis sighed with a huge grin on his face. A small laugh left my mouth. This guy is really so funny I mean it when I say I like him.

" I'm happy to see you." Harry pointed out.

" Thank you Mr. Styles. Well ok so lets get to it why am I here?" I questioned.

" We want to know more about you and we think you should know some stuff about us." Liam explained.

" Alright what do you want to know?" I asked. I was kinda afraid they were going to be personal questions that I did not want to answer.

" Whats your favorite color?" Zayn asked. Oh this was easier than I thought.

" Light blue like the sky" I responded.

" Like your eyes" Harry said. Was this what he called flirting, weird.

" Moving on, do you have any pets?" Liam asked.

" Nope" I said popping the "p".

" Do you play any instruments?" Niall asked.

" Yes I play piano, guitar, drums and bass." I exclaimed with confidence.

" Cool" Louis said.

" Do you have a boyfriend?" Harry asked. Of course he would ask that.

" No" I said and that gained all their attention.

" Hey don't get any ideas Simon is my god father!" I shouted. Which made Louis laugh. Ha ha he gets my jokes.

" Your really funny Ya know?" Louis said giving me a playful punch in the arm.

" Right back at ya." I said punching him back. I glared over to see Harry giving Louis the death stare. Oh wait a minute does Harry like me? What I mean he is nice and handsome in all, but I like Louis. Wait what no I do not I was in love with Josh I will never love or like someone ever again.

After meeting with them we went back to the recording studio. We recored a few songs and then all the boys left and I headed home in my car. I walked up to my front porch of my house and I dug my hands deep into my bad and pulled out my keys. I fiddled with it to find the right one and I unlocked the door and went inside. I lifted my bag off my shoulders and on the coat rack.

" Ah, home sweet home." I sighed while plopping my body on my couch in complete relaxation.

DING DONG DING DING! I heard my doorbell ring from some outside.

" Ugh!!!!" I screamed. I walked lazily to the door and opened it.

" Hello love!" Harry said standing right next to Louis. What are they doing here? How do they know where I live?

" What are you doing here? Did u two follow me home?' I asked.

" Yes and you left your cell phone at the studio." Louis said giving me my phone.

" Oh thanks." I said while they shoved past me and into my house.

" Where are the others?" I asked.

" They went to meet their girlfriends except Niall he went Nandos because he was Hungry." Louis said chuckling.

" Nice place you got here." Harry said while looking at all my pictures and art work on my walls. All because I lost my family doesn't mean I can't keep photos up in memory of them.

" Thanks." I said under my breath.

" Who is this?" Harry asked holding up a picture of me and Josh holding hands and him kissing me on the cheek with a smile on my face.

I sighed slightly thank goodness I was holding back the tears.

" Josh" I told him realizing I was standing right next to Harry.

" Is he your boyfriend?" I heard Louis ask.

" Was" I corrected him.

" What happened?" Harry asked. Oh no I was afraid of this question.

" He um..... He, he" I started unable to finish. Thats it I broke into tears. I clasped my hands to my face pouring tears into them.

" It's ok you can tell us what happened." Harry said with his arm around me and looking deep into my eyes.

" He, He died." I said and then looked up and say Louis and Harry both looking at me with grief and sorrow.

" How?" Louis asked. I can't tell them I just can't but I do.

"In a fire" I said.

" I'm so sorry" Louis said holding my hand.

" Me too." Harry said.

" Well whatever that was a while ago so moving on while you guys are here lets watch a movie!" I suggested. Them still all deep in sorrow for me they snapped out of it and Louis stood up.

" Harry you can, but I need to go meet up with an old buddy ok?" he asked.

" Alright" Harry said waving bye to Louis.

" Bye Louis!"I said.

" Bye Shay!' he says back to me walking out the door. Then I realized it was just me and Harry and he still had his arm around me.

" Looks like it just you and me now, love" He said giving me his famous flirtatious smile.

" Uh no and we can just watch a movie." I stated wiggling out of his arms.

" Alright you will soon though." He said winking at me.
