Courtney
I watched Benji leave and sighed. My lips still tingled and my heart was still racing. I haven't felt this way in a while. I looked around and started to put the rest of my things away. I came across two big Victoria's Secret bags and dumped them out, they were filled with lotions, perfume and lingerie. I smiled and put those away too. I sat on the bed finally finishing putting all this stuff away and I was a little tired. I thought about it and all this stuff must have cost a fortune. Jamal never spent all this money on me. I shook my head and my stomach growled. I went downstairs to start the meal I practically had to beg Terrance to help me prepare. I washed my hands and cut open the ground turkey then went to work. I was mixing the meat and seasoning then stopped when I heard the front door open. "Benji isn't here you have to come back later." Cheese said.
"I'll just wait for him here then." I heard a female voice say
"You shouldn't be here."
"If I wasn't supposed to be here, why would he give me a key to get in?" As soon as she said that my heart shattered, I knew it was too good to be true.
"Kia, you gotta go."
"I ain't going nowhere."
Cheese sighed and I soon heard him calling someone, which I assume was Benji. "Aye boss, we got a slight problem, you need to get over here." I went back to mixing and after about 10 minutes as I was putting the patties on some aluminum foil, I heard footsteps approach.
"Oh, he got a maid." She looked at me and went in the refrigerator to get a bottle of water.
"I'm not a maid." I said, wishing she'd leave because I really didn't like her already, she was prettier and had a nicer body but her attitude made my butt itch.
"Maid, Chef, same difference. I want fried lemon pepper tilapia, yellow rice, french cut string beans and some peach tea please."
"Ok, you can do that yourself." I shot back
She look taken back and asked "Why are you here?"
"Benji asked me to stay here."
"For what?"
"If you don't know by now then you don't need to."
"Just stay away from my man."
"Your man?"
"Yea, my man."
"I don't think he was yours when he was in his bed with me last night or when his tongue was down my throat just a minute ago." I smiled hoping to get under her skin.
"I'm going to tell you again, stay away from my man. I would beat your ass but it looks like somebody already did that for me." She said smirking and drinking her water. Her words stung, I wanted to cry but I swung instead, taking every ounce of frustration out on her. After a few seconds I saw Jamal's face and went even harder."Get this bitch off of me" I heard her screaming from under me. I couldn't stop if I wanted to. I felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around me and pull me up. I automatically calmed down and moved the hair from my face and looked at her. She looked bad, I didn't mean to but she pushed it. Benji turned me around and looked me over. "You ok baby?" he said examining my hands. I nodded and walked off. I walked upstairs, I washed my hands and ran a bath and put the Epsom salt in it. I brought my knees to my chest and just started thinking.
Benji
Me and T was on our way back to the house when Cheese called me. I picked up the phone and he told me to get over there, I let him know we was already on the way and told T slow driving ass to hurry up. He was still going the same speed and I looked over in annoyance. "Nigga hurry up." He just shook his head and keep the same speed. "Terrance bruh..." I half-pleaded. "I didn't hear no gun shots." I looked at him like really? "What if something happened to Court?"
