You sat silently as you listened to the chatter of the other bitties, that were in the same place you were in. Some seeming to be excited some being lazy others being quiet like you, or just being casual. You described yourself as a stubborn bitty, with trust issues you'd assume. You remember the time when you had a chance of escape only to be caught the moment you did. You stopped trying after that, and just accepted that you're a bitty, some source of entertainment for kids or larger beings than you.
"Y/N!" You flicked your gaze towards a slightly younger bitty than you, he only being 17 if you remember correctly. You smiled at the boy's approach to chat with you "Hello Elias, how are you doing today?", Elias grinned as he stood in front of you, "I'm doing great, we heard that someone is adopting tomorrow! Ain't that exciting?" He decided sitting next to you, as you blinked although your smile stayed you shrugged "I guess it is huh? Wonder who will be lucky tomorrow" Elias chuckled, "Also heard they are a monster, you know of those right?"
You nodded, your mind buzzing as you remembered the moment the monsters arrived, it was quite chaotic as you saw it on the news, from the television that was in sight of where you stayed in the bitty shop. There were rude comments, racial if you'd like to say, towards monsters. You only thought of it as more opportunities to be adopted, even though you were quite cautious around monsters, they seemed rather friendlier than most humans, if you had to be honest yourself.
So, you weren't always bothered when someone got adopted by a monster, humans concerned you more than they did funny enough. You got out of your mind once you saw snapping fingers in front of your face, which made you look over at Elias who was trying to get your attention.
"Don't space out on me now Y/N, we have to go get lunch remember?" Ah, lunch. Right. "Yeah, I remember just thinking of the time when the monsters came to the surface." You replied as you stood and followed Elias out to where lunch was served, "Pretty crazy right? The whole city was just going nuts for the sudden arrival" You laughed, grabbing your lunch as Elias did the same, before sitting down somewhere and eating. "I guess it was, they kind of acted like how when bitties were introduced." Elias nodded, as you both ate.
Soon enough you were both done, and a chime of a bell rung through the store, you glanced over noticing a human couple with a child talking to the person at the cashier, before they turned and started looking around at the different pens with bitties in them. You looked over at Elias to see him with a large grin, you smiled at the scene, but you were rather non-excited. So, you stood and headed to a place where you can look over the bitties and see the ongoing adopters but not be well seen, if they do spot you, you'll just wave and turn away before they say anything.
