They want me to explain all that happened these past 11 years?
"Okay, so.. you want me to explain EVERYTHING?"
"Yes, please," Says the dude with the hair that forms a V.
"Alright. So when i was five they kidnapped me and played board games with me so that i wouldn't be bored all the time. Also they had really good food there. Anyways, they were pretty nice, they had good games there like mario kart and-"
"Sorry kid, but could you talk about more important things?"
"Maybe you should, y'know ask specific questions instead? It'd make it easier to answer what you wanna know.."
"Alright then. I'll ask first. Do you know what the LoV is planning to do?" Says the blond with the V shaped hair.
"Uh, take over the country, actually maybe even the world? I can't remember. They're also experimenting on stuff so..yeah."
"Alright, my question next," mumbles a tired voice. "Did they experiment on you as well?"
"Yeah? No? Uh.. Yeah? I mean does injecting needles in me and giving me harsh training count as experimentation?"
They don't answer my question but they do look at me weird. Is that a yes? Im gonna take it as a yes.
"Do you know what the liquid in the needles contained? Will anything happen to you?"
"Well, nothing has happened so far.. Although I do think something will happen in the near future, and I'm sure it won't be a nice sight to see.
"Did the LoV hurt you in any way?" Asks banana hair guy.
"How much do you wanna know?"
"I want to know all they did to you."
"..Alrighty then. They've trained me to complete exhaustion, making me pass out multiple times but I was always forced to wake up again. There were multiple times where I was beaten up for not completing assignments on time, not training 'hard enough', and disobeying orders. They usually stuck needles into my for their experiments at least 10 times a week but they paid me after. They sometimes starved me as punishment, but kept me alive. They would even test things out on me like new moves for their quirks or new tech to help with their plans," I explain.
"That sounds awful.." mutters the pretty girl with a red mask.
"But I mean, they were sort of like a family. They would play board games or video games with me, made sure to never kill me, fed me good food, gave me shelter and a decent room. They always say something about fixing this messed up society. Sometimes I see what they mean."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Hm?"
"The part where you understand what they mean by this messed up society?"
"I mean..think about it. People are always quick to judge. If they see it, that's obviously the main picture right? Everyone thinks that. No matter how hard someone tries to explain, if they do something bad, even if it's only once, they'll be titled a villian without even getting the chance to explain. Even if it's not even a bad thing. Even if it's uncontrollable. Like their quirk. If someone has a quirk that's 'used for evil' or 'a quirk that could never be used by a hero', they'll be deemed a villian. They'll be bullied. Even if someone else does bad stuff, if they have a good quirk, it'll be ignored."
"Okay, but what if a child with a destructive quirk kills people?" Asks the tired man.
"What if the child had just developed that destructive quirk? What if they didn't know their quirk had developed and accidently killed people? You said it yourself. A child. If the child were to ask for help with the blood of the people on their hands, nobody would help them. They all judge so quickly. Nobody gives chances to those with 'villian' quirks."
"You seem to be speaking from experience."
"Because I am."
"That's awful.."
"Is it really? I dont really know much about boundaries and what's good and what's bad and i'm feeling a little mixed because i just found out what the LoV wasnt good. So im sorry if I ask about things like this. I genuinely do wanna learn more about the good things though! I wanna be a hero!"
"It is very much alright, young Aiko," Reassures the dude with the v shaped hair. "We're very much relieved to know you want to be a hero."
"Yes, yes, indeed! I can allow you to join UA late! Although instead of taking the normal entrance exam, I'll have you spar with one of the pro heroes! Yes! A truly wonderful idea!" Excitedly exclaims a...mouse?
"My apologies! It seems I have forgotten to introduce myself out of excitement! I'm UA's principal, Nezu, and my quirk is High Spec granting me incredible knowledge despite being an animal! Pleasure meeting you!" Says Principal..Nesu? Nezu?
"Uh, pleasure..meeting you?" I ask.
"It seems terrible living with the LoV. Did they teach you basic stuff like math or language arts? Do you know how to fight?" Asks the pretty lady with the red mask.
"Actually, yes. They taught me school subjects. In fact, you won't have to catch me up on any school because they have taught me over the years, so i'm sure i will be fine. They have also trained me and my quirk so rest assured, you wont have to worry about my quirk going out of control."
"Alright, now that the questioning part is over, if you're alright with it, we need to find you someone to stay with. You have to choose a pro so that if a villian were to try and get you, you would be protected. So please choose a hero, preferably one from this room or one you have talked to before!"
I look at each and every one of them.
"Uhm..I'll stay with.."
They all look at me. This is so pressuring 😭 I turn around, deciding if I dont look at them it'll be easier to think because I can't see them looking at me.
Hm.. the first option is the dude with the banana hair. He seems like he'd be loud, and I don't like being woken up early in the morning with something loud. But then yet again, he'd be a good jam buddy and he would probably be really kind.
Second option, dude that looks incredibly sleep deprived. He seems easy to be around, and seems a lot more quiet too. I'll keep him in mind.
Third option, dude with v shaped hair. Seriously, whats up with the hair?? He seems like the type of guy to misuse slang words. I dont think I wanna live with him..
Fourth option, actually is he even an option? Eagle dude. It seems fun to make fun of him. Seems pretty laid back to be honest. I'll keep him in mind too.
Fifth option, girl with red mask and blue eyes. Super pretty!
Seems caring. She seems like the good type of person to live with.
Sixth option.. scary guy with flaming beard. How did i not notice him before? He's terrifying! No way in hell am I living with him! Seems like the type scare his children.. so no.
Alright, now I have sleep deprived guy, eagle man, and pretty girl with red mask.
I only have to choose one out of three now.
