Björn raised his head from the newspaper when he finally heard the door of his house late in the evening.
"Finally you are home, how is Frida?"
"Yes, I'm here at last, I helped Frida make a surprise for Benny, she wants to make it up to Benny at all costs, by the way sorry I didn't sleep here last night."
"Was there really a need to sleep at Anni-Frid's?"
"Björn" Agnetha said dangerously, "My best friend is sick and you ask me if there was a need to stay with her?"
"I know you care about Frida, but you have a young daughter."
"I know Björn, but first, I don't feel like fighting with you, second, where is Linda?"
"Upstairs"
Agnetha climbed the stairs and took Linda to bed with her, she needed to cuddle her sweet little girl.
Frida went to sleep quietly for the first time in two days, she felt confident and excited about what she had arranged for Benny who, on those days, slept at his house and not at Frida's as usual.
The 'plan' she had organised with Agnetha was meticulous in every detail and could not fail.
Agnetha would propose to Benny and they would go out for ice cream in Gröna Lund and Frida would go with Bjorn.
If everything went smoothly, Benny and Frida would go home together and the real fun would begin.
Benny woke up that morning not knowing what his mood was.
It was Sunday and that meant that another week would begin the next day and Benny had not yet cleared Frida and he would not be the one to make the first move.
He was calmer after talking to Björn.
He spent the morning at his house, he didn't feel like going out and he didn't even want to call Björn, he knew he had a wife and a young daughter at home and couldn't disturb him whenever he wanted.
Around two o'clock in the afternoon Benny's phone started ringing.
"Hello, Benny Andersson speaking."
"Hej Benny, it's Agnetha, how about going for ice cream in Gröna Lund? Linda and I are alone.... What do you say?"
Benny made to think about it for a moment and then agreed, why not, he thought.
"Shall we meet at your place?" Agnetha asked.
"Sure."
"Perfect Benny, in ten minutes Linda and I will be there, time for me to get her ready and we'll come", having said that, Agnetha ended the call.
The three of them set off towards Gröna Lund on foot, as it was a beautiful day, Linda was on her favourite uncle's shoulders and Benny and Agnetha were talking about this and that.
They arrived at the ice-cream parlour and Linda's eyes sparkled.
"UNCLE BENNY!" Linda shouted in excitement "Could I have a strawberry, chocolate and cream ice cream?"
Linda made puppy eyes at her uncle.
"Linda," Agnetha said rolling her eyes "you'll never eat all that ice cream."
"How dare you, mama! I am a big girl and I can very well eat all the ice cream by myself"
Linda said indignantly and Benny and Agnetha shared a laugh.
As they ate their ice cream on the bench, Linda suddenly stood up.
"AUNTIE FRIDA" she shouted and ran towards her auntie.
"Hello big girl, how are you?" Frida said cuddling her and kissing her face.
When Benny saw her, his blood froze in his veins, she was so beautiful.... and she was even more so with little Linda in his arms.
Frida noticed Benny's presence after a few seconds, she was so focused on Linda that she had almost forgotten about the plan she and Agnetha had set up.
"Hi..."
She said shyly and Benny got up from the bench.
Agnetha took Linda in her arms and together with Björn they walked a few metres away to give them some privacy, but Linda did nothing but stare at her auntie and uncle.
Benny moved even closer and Frida looked down to avoid his gaze.
He took her hands but Anni-Frid refused to look him in the eyes.
He took her chin and forced her to look at him.
Frida's eyes were teary but she broke the ice and jumped to his neck hugging him.
The two burst into tears and hugged each other tightly.
"I'm sorry my love, I shouldn't have behaved like that, I'm sorry, sorry, sorry my love, sorry" Frida said crying desperately .
"Don't apologise, love, please. I'm sorry too, love." Said Benny between sobs.
The two looked into each other's eyes and kissed tenderly, taking all the time in the world.
Some passersby stared at them, but it didn't matter.
Linda, seeing her auntie crying, jumped down from Agnetha's arms, who tried to stop her but to no avail.
"UNCLE BENNY" Linda shouted angrily with her small hands on her hips and staring Benny in the eyes.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY AUNTIE?!", Benny and Frida laughed and she picked her up.
"He didn't do anything, baby girl, I'm the one who did something."
Linda blushed and looked down at the ground and said,
"Sorry Uncle Benny, I didn't mean to be mean".
Benny smiled and took Linda in his arms.
"I love you, little one" and kissed her cheek.
"So you're ok?" Agnetha said smirking.
"We are" Frida said, smiling shyly.
"Well, before you guys can put on a porn show in front of my baby and my wife, we are leaving.
Benny and Frida laughed and waved goodbye to Bjorn and Agnetha, then they walked off, kissing and cuddling.
A night of love, passion and reconciliation was approaching and they could wait no longer.
