Medusa?

"Hope!" 

"Jed? Finally, what's the news?" The triprid asks the tired wolf for his explanation but Jed keeps trying to catch his breath before speaking.

"Damnit Jed." Josie gets annoyed while waiting for the wolf to speak.

"It's Medusa." Jed finally speaks.

"Medusa?" Cloe asks with an 'I told you so' expression thrown at the girls.

"Yes and she got Kaleb." Jed looks towards Cloe. Her expression drops and tears filled her brown eyes.

"Well, now that we know what it is we can save him." Hope tells Cloe before the oracle breaks down.

"The weird part is, it seemed like she didn't even mean it. I tried to tell MG but he just kept calling her a monster. Kaleb tried to talk to her, he told her that we can help so she looked at him and that's when it happened. MG was so angry, he went after her by himself." 

"What? I have to help him." Hope runs out of the library and Jed was about to follow until Josie spoke up.

"Wait! Where's Lizzie?" Josie looks to Jed for an answer.

"She ran away. I don't even know why, she just got scared and ran off."

"She'd never do that! Lizzie isn't a coward!" Josie yelled across the room but that doesn't stop the fact that Lizzie is gone.

"I'll go find her, okay? Just please don't yell at me anymore." Jed gave Josie his signature puppy dog look before running off.

Jed goes to the last place he saw Lizzie only to be greeted by the monster herself.

"Medusa." Jed gets ready to attack but his eyes drifted towards the statue behind her.

"Lizzie?" the wolf's guard is down from the surprise Medusa accidentally gave him.

"I'm s-sorry." Medusa spoke which also surprised Jed.

"Tell me how to fix this and everything will be okay. We can help you." Jed tries to reach the monster's heart.

"I don't know. W-what's me?" The question didn't make sense but she still pleaded Jed for an answer.

"What? I don't know what you mean?" 

"Am I monster? What is me?" Her eyes wandered around as if the answer was floating in the air.

"No. You aren't a monster. If making mistakes makes you a monster than we'd all be one. I can help you control yourself so long as you don't look me in my eyes." Jed chuckled to lighten the mood and explained as best as he could.

"So, you? You save me?" Medusa spoke as if she has not been educated before meeting him.

"Yes. I will save you. Come with me." Jed reached out for Medusa's hand. 

She hesitated but took Jed's hand. Jed didn't say anything when he felt her cold, scaly hand touch his. He just held it as gentle as he could and lead her towards the school. They didn't get very far before MG tackled medusa's small body to the floor.

"What the hell man?" Jed attempts to reach Medusa but MG stopped him.

"Why were you bringing her to the school?" MG yelled towards the wolf with such anger it frightened the girl beneath him.

"She's just like us! She needs help! Come on man, you're supposed to be the peacemaker." MG didn't budge. He stayed by the 'monster' and stared Jed down.

"She turned two of our friends to stone. She's a monster. She has snakes on her head!"

She's not a monster! Now, let her go. She can't control it!" Jed pleaded with the angry vampire but his begging words were ineffective.

"What's going on?" Hope finally found the boys. 

"He's trying to save this monster!" MG yelled towards Hope without taking his eyes off of Jed.

"No! She's not a monster Hope. She needs help." Jed begged and begged but he had no proof of Medusa's humanity. Only Medusa could save herself and she knew that.

"I-I need h-help." She trembled and shook as she spoke but those words were enough for Hope. She threw MG off of the girl and helped her up.

"MG you need to relax before you ruin everything. You have no idea how her powers work. Killing her could kill them. That is why we do research before attacking, you should know that better than anyone. We can't afford to be blinded by rage." MG hangs his head low as he gets scolded.

"Jed, Take her to the school so we can inform Alaric and I'm sorry but she goes into the cell while we figure out how we can look at her without turning to stone. Is that okay with you Medusa?" Hope smiles at the girl but makes sure to not look her in her eyes.

"Yes that is fine. Is me Medusa? I think I have a different name." The girl looks to the floor, trying to remember who she is but she can't seem to remember anything.

"Take her to the cell. Medusa? Lets just call you that while you figure out who you are, okay?" Medusa nods her head towards hope and follows Jed to the school.

"She's going to kill us." MG states.

"I hope you're wrong."
