Regina got home after a long day of school and went straight to her room. She pulled out the piece of paper that Emma had given her earlier and pulled out her phone. With a quick swipe of her fingers Emma's number was in her phone. She sent her a text:
Regina: Hey
After she sent the text she laid on her bed and waited for a text back. A few minutes later her phone vibrated loudly.
Emma: Hey, who's this?
Regina's heart skipped a beat as she read the message.
Regina: It's Regina
Regina pressed send and waited again. A few seconds later her phone vibrated.
Emma: Oh hey! What's up?
Regina smiled as she replied
Regina: Not a lot, just catching up on some school work. What about you?
Emma: Ah just figuring my life out
Regina: I feel you on that. Life just seems to get more and more complicated for me.
Emma: Awe I'm sorry. Do you want to talk about it?
Regina: Only if you promise not to tell anyone.
Emma: I would never say anything to anyone. I promise
Regina put down her phone for a minute to think about what she was going to say.
Regina: I will just let you read my journal tomorrow.
Emma: Alright that would be fine. Are you okay?
Regina sighed softly and thought about everything that was going on in her life. She didn't know how to feel.
Regina: I'm honestly not quite sure. I have so much to worry about.
Emma: And what would that be?
Regina: Just worried about being a big sister and all.
Emma: I'm sorry. I wish I knew what to do. What are you worried about being a big sister?
Regina: I worry that I won't be good at it. I panic a lot.
Emma: I'm an only child or I would totally help you on that. Maybe I still could.
Regina: I sure hope so. I hate feeling alone in this world.
Emma: You aren't alone. You have me. I'm going to be the best friend I could possibly be.
That was the word. "Friend" Something happened. Regina may have developed a little crush in Emma. This has never happened to her before. The last relationship she had was very different from most. It was almost completely perfect until one day he disappeared and left her heartbroken and lonely. She didn't know if she would ever be able to truly love someone the way she loved him.
Regina: That means a lot to me Emma
Emma: It is true. I hope you know that. But I have to go. I need to do my homework and jump in the shower.
Regina: Alright. Have a good night Emma. I'll see you tomorrow.
Emma: See ya!
Regina didn't really know what to think. Little did she know that it would only get more difficult.
