"I need you to accompany me to something"

Chris looked up at the other with dull yet annoyed eyes. He knew that villain needed something. I mean, why else would the Cat invite him over for drinks. It wasn't just to chit chat about their daily lives or about news, there was always a catch to what they did.

"Where?"

Instead of responding, the Cat slid a piece of paper, folded into a tiny square, across the table. Chris stared at the thing for 5 seconds, before picking it up and unfolding it. "What type of joke is this." He asked, staring at the Cat with an unamused expression. They didn't respond, they just stared, waiting for him to read the note.

'good evening the bat and the cat,

i need ur help.

meet me by the Jail.

you know, the One on Keeler street.

this situation is quitE urgent, and though i usually don't need a hero's help,

i may need youR help with this sticky issue.

love, your old friend ;)'

"So, do you wanna go?" the Cat asked as Batman handed them back the note. He shrugged, he really wasn't in the mood to meddle in gang related activities. "Why would I go?" he replied, staring at the other. They too shrugged and sighed, "It may be regarding Gotham's downfall, and it may have some info about Mr and Mrs Waynes' death"

Christopher froze, balling his hands into fists. "And why would you think I'm interested in that?"

"Baby, you know better than anyone about this city's history, and I know you've been investigating their death since the day I met you. It's not like I know why you care so much." the Cat said as they stared into Batman's eyes, "Plus, why would they ask Gotham's knight to come. Every villain knows you only care about the city. It makes perfect sense."

Christopher sighs, slightly irritated. He leans back in his chair, crossing his arms over his broad chest. "I don't see why I have to go. You're strong and seductive, go handle it yourself." He grumbled. The Cat looked at him in annoyance, they really didn't want to argue with him right now. "Cmon Batman, what if it's really important?"

"And what if it isn't?" Chris argued, he was in no mood to help with petty fights and middle school note passing.

"How would we know if we don't go."

"I guess we will never know."

"Baby-"

"What if it's a prank? We would've wasted our time for some bullshit with teenagers." He replied coldly, looking out the window. It was quiet after, well for a few seconds.

"If they waste my time then I will kill them. Simple."

Christopher sighed. He knew they were serious, they wouldn't hesitate to slice someone's throat simply cause of a prank. He had forgotten how cruel this person was. Behind those doe eyes and that comforting presence, was someone as sinful as him. The only difference between the two, was the way the world looked at them.

One was labelled as someone who did no good, and the other was labelled as someone who only did good. Fortunately, both views were neither right or wrong. Both have killed, both have saved, both had secrets, and both were hidden in the shadows.

"Ok."

"You'll go?"

He nodded in response.

Chris felt the table shift. He looked up from his feet to see the Cat pulling up chair against his before sitting very close to him. His face was right in front of his, and there was no space in between the two.

Christopher felt his heart skip a beat. The feline was too close, close enough to feel their breath tickle against his lips. "Really?" they softly spoke, looking down at the Chris's lips then back to his eyes, and then back down to his lips again. He nodded, not breaking their eye-contact. "Yea." It was a short and dry response, too focused on the elegant being that was ogling at his lips.

At this point, this wasn't even about the mission, both of them are just touch deprived.

'Cute.' Christopher thought as he glanced down at the feline's lips. They were small and plump, and slightly separated, as if they needed to be kissed. Even if they were to kiss now, it wouldn't have been their first time. He felt a hand rub his cheek. It was cold, yet it comforted him in the oddest ways. It was a type of comfort he's never received.

It was quickly taken away when the Cat stood up. "Cmon my love, let's not get distracted with each other. We have a job to do tonight." Christopher nodded at their words, standing up along with him. "Let's get this over with, Cat."

"Sure, and maybe after, we could have some fun."
