The non-stop laughter echoed around the halls, making me feel even more embarrassed. I was curled up into a ball in the middle of a circle that many students from my class were standing in. My breathing hitched as I could feel the meanest boy ever, kneel down next to me.
"Aww?" He giggled, pretending to feel sad for me. He wasn't fooling anyone. My nose was bleeding, and I'm pretty sure my big toe was broken, from the constant students stepping on my toes, as they couldn't keep themselves balanced, from laughing so much at me.
"Ple-please, leave me.. alone..." I begged, and I begged, and I begged. I finally had the nerve to look up at the boy that had been picking on me the past few school years.
"Mmm... okay," He stood up, and I was actually shocked. But something was off? He couldn't- more like he wouldn't just leave me alone like that, after bullying me for so long.
I was right. Before long, he was grinning, and he struck his right boot right into my stomach, and my ribs. My eyes widened and I coughed up blood. God, was this even legal?
I didn't remember anything after that. Just the court, because we sued his family.

I stared up at my cream coloured ceiling, and thought about the dream I just had, which was an actual experience I had, around seven years ago. I almost always wake up a few seconds, or minutes before my alarm clock goes off.
I slammed the alarm clock, that was on the bedside table, with my right hand. Today was another day of work, at my company. My bully had been on my mind the past few days. But I didn't really give a shit about that dick head. He didn't deserve love. He deserved nothing in this life.
Nothing in his other lives too, if that even was real. I was out of bed in a matter of seconds, and I was furious. Thinking about him made me furious. I walked up to my six foot tall mirror, that was in my bedroom, and stared at myself.
My face was fuming– it was so red, that I could feel the heat in my cheeks. I sighed, and proceeded to do my business in the bathroom. Showering for fifteen minutes, brushing my teeth, washing my face, and all of that.
I didn't even remember his name. What was it?— Jason? No, couldn't be. Luke? No, I remembered it. Lucian. Lucian Miles. I rolled my eyes at the name of that disgusting person, almost gagging.
I walked into my walk-in closet, glancing at all of the clothes. "Hmmm," I pondered.
"Alexa, what will be the weather for today?" I asked, I knew it was probably going to be a warm day, so I went over to the skirt and dress section of my closet.
"Today's temperature and weather will be warm. Approximately 32°C." She finished talking, which let me think about what I was going to wear today.
The weather and temperature was pretty decent for New York. I picked out a black high waisted skirt with a slit and a black cropped tank top. I paired the outfit with the famous VERSACE Medusa Aevitas platform heels. I added a few golden rings, golden earrings and a pearl necklace. I grabbed my most-used/worn PRADA shoulder bag.
I walked out of my bedroom and made my way downstairs, to quickly prepare breakfast, but since I was already in my expensive outfit, I couldn't bother making breakfast. I figured I could just get something from McDonalds or Subway.
I got in my black Lamborghini Aventador, and drove to work. It was already so warm outside, but I would be spending all day inside of my company's building, where it is perfectly chilly on warm days.
The city of New York never ceased to amaze me. Even though there were drugs, abusive drinkers, and trash, I still loved it. I love the view of the city at night. It's so magical. I will never forget the first time that I visited New York. I never knew I was going to move here and start my company after that.
Before I knew it, I drove into the car park, and I was expecting to park in my spot, that was always reserved for me, but no. There was another car, parked perfectly in the spot. It was a sky-blue Audi R8. I rolled my eyes and parked in the spot next to my usual spot.
I was already irritated, and I thought I couldn't get more irritated. But I was wrong.
Once I got out of my car, I locked it and took the elevator to the first floor of my large building. I strutted, annoyed, to the lady at the desk.
"Hello darling," I said, putting on my best smile, as if trying to impress her, even though I was the one that employed her in the first place.
"May I ask, what is another car doing in my reserved parking spot?" I inspected my nails, trying to keep myself from throwing everything off of her table to the ground.
"Oh, I am so so so sorry about that, Miss Lovelock, I suppose it's that man that is here to see you." She typed something up on her computer.
"What man?" I spoke through clenched teeth. Why was I not informed of this, the night before? That someone was going to want to see me today?
"He told me that he would be waiting for you near your office, so as soon as you sort your business with him, he will be told to leave, no matter what, again, I am so sorry, Miss Lovelock." She said, giving me puppy dog eyes. For fuck's sake, I am not five.
"Mm, thanks, Vivian." I said, taking a deep breath before smiling at her and heading up to my office.
