Heart In Hand

I stood there shocked momentarily until what just happened sunk in.

I was just kissed by Austin Carlile. THE Austin Carlile that I've been fawning over for the past few months. Austin. Carlile.

My cheeks flushed a bright red as my hand shot up to my lips, touching where his had lain on mine. I turned on my heel, walking out as Austin had, to go find him. Luckily enough, I didn't have to look far. Actually, I knocked right into him.

"Oof," I said as I slammed into him, knocking myself backwards a bit from the force of my stride into his chest. Austin gripped my shoulders, holding me steady as I gathered my bearings.

I stared straight up at him, leaving his hands to fall gently off of my shoulders. Originally I had decided on a casual approach, but the need to kiss him again was strong.

"So, um..." Austin mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck with his hands and staring at the floor, "um.."

He glanced up at me and I took my chance; Propelling myself upward a bit, I wrapped my arms around his neck, locking lips with him and adding a slight bit of pressure behind it. I pulled him down to me a little more so more than just the tips of my toes were touching the ground. Diminishing my efforts, Austin lifted me up a bit, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him. The kiss seemed to last for hours; fireworks seemed to be exploding.

A subtle, yet loud cough interrupted us. As Austin put me back down, we turned around to see Joe standing before us, face bright red like a tomato with wide eyes. 

"Um *cough* Um can you guys finish opening shop or are we gonna have a problem here...?" Joe stammered, his face turning an even brighter shade of red.

Austin and I began to laugh out of nervousness, his hand running through his hair and rubbing his neck again like he always does. 

"We'll be fine," he laughs, glancing down at me. I reach out and hold his hand as Joe coughs out an "okay" and walks away. My eyes never left his.
