Lucien sits in his usual booth in Lux, drinking a bottle of rum as he writes in his lyric book. Maze walks over and sits next to him, drinking her own drink "Working on a new song?" she asks. Lucien smiles "Yeah, well, trying to." he responds. "What's the problem?" Maze asks. "Got writers block." Lucien sighs, taking a drink. Maze nods "Why don't you take a break from it? Come on, we can get some drinks and dance." she smiles. Lucien laughs slightly "Okay, okay, let me go puts my book in my room and I'll be right back." he tells the demon, getting up and heading over to the elevator. Going to his room, Lucien places his book in his bedside draw before heading back down to the club "Okay Maze, you got some shots ready?" he smiles. "Always." Maze responds with a grin, lining up some shots for the two of them. With a grin Lucien starts taking the shots with Maze, only to be interrupted by Lucifer who walks over and claps him on the shoulder "Come on, the Detective has a case." he tells his nephew. "And?" Lucien asks in confusion. "We're going to go along and see if we can find out why she's immune to me." Lucifer explains. "But I'm doing shots with Maze." Lucien tells his Uncle. "Lucien." Lucifer says, giving him a look. Lucien sighs and takes the last shot "Fine. See you later Mae." he says, giving Maze a playful wink. Maze laughs "See you later Lu." she smiles. Lucifer rolls his eyes at their fake, playful flirting before leading his nephew out to his car.
Lucien rolls his eyes as he follows his Uncle into the crime scene, Chloe storms over "You've got to be kidding me. What are you doing here?" she asks. "Oh! How's your ex? He's not the reason you rushed over here, is he?" Lucifer asks. "Answer the question." Chloe tells them. "My Uncle dragged me here." Lucien tells her. "I'm trying to solve my mystery, Detective. If I don't affect you, I'm curious as to what does. Oh, and I think I've just found my answer. Who's that?" Lucifer asks, noticing Chloe looking at a man who's been cuffed. "He's a paparazzo." Chloe responds. "Oh. Had a little run-in with him during your Hot Tub High School days, did you? Huh? Is that it?" Lucifer asks. "Yeah, you could say that. He's a cockroach. But he'll figure a way out of this. He always does." Chloe responds. "You want to talk to him, don't you? Well, go on, then. What's stopping you? The rules? Huh? Detective Douche? If you desire something, just take it." Lucifer tells her, walking over to the car and pulling the man out the car. "Lucifer, what are you doing?" Chloe asks, rushing after him with Lucien following. "Hello." Lucifer greets the man, groaning as Chloe pulls him back. "You finally did it, Nick. You finally wanted a photo so bad that you killed someone. You're not gonna get away with this. I'm gonna make sure of it." Chloe tells the man. "You're right." Nick tells her. "Say that again?" Chloe asks. "You're right. I went too far. I'll confess." Nick tells her. "Okay." Chloe nods.
"Maybe he's less cockroach, more dung beetle? Police work always this easy?" Lucifer asks. "No. That's the problem." Chloe responds. "Right. Well, do you mind if I give it a whirl? Tell me, dung beetle, what is it you desire?" Lucifer asks Nick. "I... would like to confess." Nick responds. "Yes, yes, yes, but why?" Lucifer asks. "Because I deserve it. I've just done... so many terrible things, you know? I see it as my chance to-to..." Nick trails off. "Chance to what?" Chloe asks. "No. I... I... If I tell you, he's just gonna... No. Just..." Nick trails off. "He? Who?" Chloe asks him. "Would you please make him stop?" Nick asks. "Who? He who?" Lucien asks. "Him. Tell him." Nick says. "What are you hiding?" Lucien asks the man. "What are you doing?" Dan asks. "Hey. You said he. Who?" Chloe asks Nick. "Neither one of you are supposed to be here. Especially you two." Dan tells the three of them. "Come on." Chloe tells the Morningstars. "All right. Temper, temper." Lucien says, sending Dan a sarcastic smile. "Right. Well, that's done." Lucifer remarks. "No. If Nick's covering for someone, that means the real murderer is still out there." Chloe tells them. "Yes, plenty of murderers are out there, Detective. You heard the man. He deserves the punishment. At least he's getting it. But that's not enough for you, is it? You hate that dung beetle. Are you really gonna try and prove his innocence?" Lucifer asks. "I'm gonna find out who really killed this kid." Chloe decides.
