Another Person's POV
Forth gulped the water and looked at her with a horrified expression. He had miserable luck bumping him into his Mae on Ming's campus. They both were sitting at the cafe near Engineering Faculty.
"What are you doing here, Mae?"
Forth tried to stir the conversation which doesn't look like getting him anywhere. She pulled out her phone and showed a picture of him and Ming. Forth was speechless. Now if he remembers right then he didn't talk with his mother about the blind date.
"Umm.. I could explain."
He said. She smirked at him and waited for the explanation. Forth smiled awkwardly. How the hell he's going to explain to her all this?
"Ming was my blind date...."
He shouldn't have said that line because now Mae looks at him in utter shock. She stood from her chair and smacked his head harder than Forth ever got to experience.
"Owhhh... Maee!!"
He can't believe he's getting hit by his Mae at the age of thirty-seven. She sat down back on her seat.
"You disrespectful brat why didn't you tell me about your blind date...?! Why do I have to get informed by that bitch..?!"
Forth looked at her with a frown. Who told her about his and Ming's relationship? He thought maybe she found out because of him and Ming being so vocal about their relationship in their respective accounts.
"Who informed you?!"
She glared at him for such a dumb question. Forth sighed and asked her again in a different way.
"Tell me the answer and I'll let you meet with Ming..."
She found it a good deal and sighed sarcastically. Forth sometimes hate when his mother behaves like this. She could be too much sometimes.
"Your ex-husband."
"Beam?"
She nodded her head. Forth almost forgot that Beam was there at the wedding. He must've seen their pictures on Mark and Phana's account handle.
"Don't tell me that you came here to meet Ming..."
Forth hoped she not. He doesn't want to pressure Ming. What if Ming doesn't want to be committed this early? It's just the start of their relationship. He can't take risks of hurting Ming.
"And who you asked before coming here?"
Now it's her turn to frown. She looked at Forth in disbelief.
"What the fuckk you mean by who I asked? I am your Mae and I had a right to meet my son's boyfriend."
She said with a scoff which only earned her an eye roll from Forth. He isn't going to let her get between him and Ming's relationship. They'll do everything at their own pace.
"Mae, I am old enough to make my decision. Ming's my boyfriend, not a husband yet and even he would be you should know informing me before meeting him. You don't know him and you came to his workplace."
She wants to curse at her son but couldn't when Forth had such a stern expression on his face. Okay, now her old son was back it was easy before when Forth get along with anything she ask.
"Don't make me regret Mae. I already suffered from one heartbreak. I wanted to give myself chance and I love him. I'll let you know when Ming was ready to meet you. We are serious about our relationship but just because you wanted to meet him I can't force him to see you. It may be unbothered to you but for my Omega, it would be stressful."
