Different Thoughts

Chapter 10

Third P.O.V.

It was the next day and everyone was scared of what was going to happen today. Madison already had changed into her wolf and stood next to her siblings who nudged her with their snouts. Madison did the same. 

They walked to the Cullen's as they saw the Volturi arrive. Madison positioned herself next to Rosalie and Emmett who she sorta grew close to. Caius looked around angrily noticing how the Cullen's sided with werewolves. But stopped when he noticed a pure white wolf with bright blue eyes. His eyes widened a little because he knew of a prophecy about a white wolf with bright blue eyes.

"Aro, let us discuss things as we used to. In a civilized manner." Carlisle said as he stepped forward.

"Fair, words, Carlisle. But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us." Aro said.

"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken." Carlisle said.

"We see the child. Do not treat us as fools." Caius hissed before he glares at Madison who looked confused.

Madison had no way of communicating with the other wolves since she is in her own pack. So can't hear the worries from her younger siblings.

"She is not an immortal!! These witnesses can attest to that. Or you can look. See the flush of human blood in her cheeks." Carlisle yells and everyone stared at him surprised.

"Artifice!!" Caius hisses but Aro stops him.

"I will collect every facet of the truth. But from someone more central to the story. Edward, as the child clings to your newborn mate, I assume you are involved." Aro said as he held his hand out.

Edward looked between his wife and daughter. He soon walks towards the Volturi side as Bella watches Edward before trying to use her shield to protect Edward but it keeps coming back to her. 

When Edward reaches Aro he extends his hand, Aro takes it and uses his power to read his thoughts and realizes that Renesmee is not an immortal child.

"I'd like to meet her." Aro says in fascination.

Edward turns and looks at Bella and Renesmee. Bella starts to walk forward joined by Jacob but stops to look back at Emmett. He joins them but Renesmee stops which confuses people.

Renesmee uses her gift to show Bella that she wants Maddie to join them. Bella nods before looking at Madison who stood closer to Rosalie. Bella gestures for Madison to step forward.

Madison does so hesitantly and soon the group starts walking towards the Volturi. Madison didn't walk really close but enough to grab Renesmee and run. They soon stop before the Volturi but Madison didn't get as close as the others did.

That caught Caius' attention. He noticed that Madison had a far away look and wanted to know why. The reasoning was Madison was thinking about Owen and how he feels. 

That's when Madison is brought out of her thoughts when she hears a laugh like shriek. She shakes her head as a way to rub her ears and bring her hearing back. She glares at Aro which catches the attention of most of the guards.

"I hear her strange heart." Aro says and holds his hand out as Renesmee walks closer to him.

"Hello, Aro." Renesmee says.

Renesmee then touches Aro's cheek, using her powers on him, Aro becomes transfixed by what she shows him.

"Magnifico! Half mortal, half immortal. Conceived and carried by this newborn while she was still human." Aro says in awe.
