-Tommy's leg was bouncing uncontrollably right now. He couldn't help it, this particular song caused him joy. And joy for him meant he started to fidget around.
Tommy's attention was drawn from his leg to his shoulder when he felt a light tap. He removed one of his headphones so he could hear what this person had to say.
This person, who looked like a boy but Tommy didn't want to assume, was looking down to avoid eye contact. They seemed very timid from what Tommy could tell.
"U-um, I heard that you were d-dating Purpled and I just wanted to ask if that was true. S-sorry to bother you Tommy. Y-you don't have to answer if you don't want to." The person stuttered out at him. Their eyes kept darting around and they honestly seemed like they were going to cry.
Tommy froze. How did people find out he was dating Purpled? He was so sure that they were doing a good job keeping it a secret. Tommy tried to gather enough confidence to give a nonchalant answer. "Sorry dude, but you heard wrong. We're just friends. We aren't dating."
The person let out a terrified squeak. They nodded violently and ran back to their corner.
It wasn't long until Tommy could spot an orange-yellow blur approaching their bus stop. Tommy starting stuffing his phone and headphones back into his school bag. He stood up from his bench and waited to the school bus to make a stop.
When the bus came to a stop, Tommy made sure he was the first person to get on it. He couldn't have anyone taking his seat now, could he?
Tommy glanced around briefly before spotting a familiar purple hoodie. He walked and and sat down wordlessly next to Purpled.
Purpled turned his head to face him. "Hey Toms," he smiled softly. He brings himself a bit closes and quickly presses his lips to Tommy's nose.
Tommy's eyes widen a bit, "Purpled! You can't do that here, we're trying to keep it a secret." Tommy said a little too loudly. But it didn't matter, it wasn't like anyone was listening, right?
Purpled ruffled his hair. "No one will know Toms. It's okay."
Tommy pouted, refusing to look at him. Purpled just shakes his head lightly and grabs Tommy's hand. Tommy gives in and leans against his side.
Purpled buries his face into Tommy's curly hair, an arm wrapped around the other's waist.
Tommy pushes off the arm. "Purps, people are staring."
Purpled huffed, "They're annoying, don't pay attention to them."
Tommy shoves Purpled's head away in response. "I'm serious Purpled. We agreed to keep this a secret."
"Fine." Purpled relents, sticking to just holding his hand. They spent the rest of the bus ride in silence, with Tommy pulling out his headphones and listening to music. Purpled of course, stealing an earbud so they were sharing.
Soon the bus arrived at the school, and people started to get off. Purpled got up first, and stood in the aisle waiting. When Tommy stood up Purpled gestured for him to go first. Tommy looks at him.
"I can't just let a pretty boy not go first." Purpled said with a small laugh.
Tommy raises an eyebrow. "Are you saying you'd do this for any boy you find pretty?"
"Don't worry, it's just you." Purpled leans forward.
"Stop flirting in the middle of the bus and go already!" Someone snaps behind them.
Tommy hurries his way out, while Purpled scoffs and walks extra slow on purpose.
Tommy walked next to Purpled and they sat on a bench near the school entrance.
