I smile with delight as I graze my fingers across the many different fabrics in front of me, for the only fabric store in town it had many options I only wished they had more vibrant colors available. As I continue to look at my choices that fit my budget I hear a voice from behind that rather startled me.
"Do you need any assistance, Miss?"
I turned to see one of the store clerks looking at me with a smile, I kindly told her no and that ill be sure to let her know if I do need help, even though I knew that I wouldn't for I know this store like the back of my hand . About 20 minutes later I picked out 3 small sized rolls of fabric for the finishing touches of my project and headed towards the cashier.
"Will that be all Miss March." Asked Mrs. Ross, she was the owner of the beautiful shop and me and her have grown a lovely friendship from all the years of me coming here. "Yes thank you, Mrs. Ross."
"My dear girl this is the third time I've seen you here this week, may I ask what your up to." Mrs. Ross exclaimed with a confused look. I chuckled and answered "My sister, Jo is planning another play for the little ones in a few weeks, you know how much that girl loves to write and I've been put in charge of the costumes."
The old women's face lit up with a smile. "Oh how exciting, I've heard good things about you girls and your little theatricals, I would love to see one some day." "Ill be sure to invite you to the next one probably wont be long because of how much jo loves to write and meg enjoys acting so much." I promised
After a few more minutes of discussion and laughter , I paid my dues to Mrs. Ross, had my things pack in a rather big paper bag and I was sent on sent on my way. Although it was rather difficult to see what's ahead of me due to the bag I found my way to the exit. I opened the door, waved goodbye and started the nice peaceful walk back to my chaotic home that I love so.

I loved our little town and the people that filled it , sure there were a few bad apples including my old Aunt March but I learned how to tolerate them. I walked taking in the familiar smells and chatters of the Massachusetts land.
Just as I was passing the bakery I felt my body run into something and before I knew it my bag fell out of my hands and my body make its way to the ground.
Out of no where I two hands grab before I fell to the gravel that was slightly covered with snow, I shoot my head up to see who I just bumped into, My face turns red with embarrassment to see my young neighbor, Theodore Laurence holding on to my hands with a strong grip and his grandfather Mr. Laurence next to him with a strange face, not a rude one more like a mix of confusion and concern.
I got myself back up to steadiness and let go of the young boys hand. I didnt know what to say since I was surprised to see him. He has changed since the last time I've actually been up close to him he got taller, his curls got less curly yet he still had plenty of them, and his eyes seem more rested. He finally spoke up after a few seconds of us just staring in shock.
"Are you ok Miss. March?" he chuckled
"Yes thank you Mr. Laurence." I smiled. He looked at his grandfather a back at me.
"Oh please He is Mr. Laurence, call me Laurie."
~ Laurie.....I like that name.~ I thought as I nod my head lightly
At this point Mr. Laurence joined into the conversation "Miss. Y/n how is your mother and sister doing?" The old man asked out of curiosity. I smiled at the question and responded with "They are doing fine thank you for asking although mother is a little stressed with father being away"
