Dinah POV

So we just got back from a call it was an elderly lady and her grandson maybe 14 15 trapped in her car the car was upside down and was leaking gasoline fluid I was so close to getting her son but was too late the car caught fire and he died on the scene.

Dinah:14 maybe 15 years old he had family that loved him

Dinah:I was this close to getting him out and it just blew up in flames

Daniel:how are you doing

Dinah:are you not hearing me dad I just witnessed a teenage boy die on my watch

Daniel:it's not your fault

Dinah:I'm struggling here I keep going over it in my head maybe if we could have secured the truck before I went down we could have saved him

Daniel:you didn't have time you saved the driver that's what your focus is on

Daniel:you could have delayed that rescue and could have lost them both

Dinah:but it's like what if we could have saved them both

Daniel:your never going to know that's the curse of being a firefighter

Dinah:I'm not even sure if I'm cut out for this is it always this way

Daniel:every time

Dinah:so how do you keep your mind going to a spin cycle every time you show up for a call

Daniel looks at his daughter and says where in this for certain efficient they don't give you a firefighter helmet because you know all the answers they give it to you so you can be decisive even when you don't.

And then live with the consequences want to know why I got you working along side me as a firefighter.

Dinah:why

Daniel:because I see that you can better yourself than what you were before your past

Daniel:I see you being a better you and saving lives is what makes you a better you if that makes sense

Daniel:I got you down to Miami so that you can see what it's like to live not in your past but see in to your future and what I see is greatness beyond measured

Daniel:all you got to do is think positive and apply yourself

Dinah:heavy is the head that wears the helmet

Daniel:(shakes his head) heavy is the head

Dinah:(sighs) well you could have told me that before asking me to put it on then

Daniel:you might have not taking the job

Daniel:I told you because I see what you can do and hold down the fort

Dinah:I appreciate that dad

Daniel:coffee

Dinah:nah I'm good

Destiney comes in the fire station and see her sister down in the dumps and says hey sis sorry about what happened.

Dinah:what is it that you want destiney

Destiney:come on sis don't be like that let's go out and party

Dinah:nah I'm good on that

Destiney:come on sis live a little

Dinah looks at her sister and says you want me to live a little live a little huh I just witnessed a boy die today and you want to go out "live a little and party" I'm not in the mood to party right now so PLEASE BACK OFF.

Destiney POV

So my sister is bummed out about what happened today with that boy dying today and now I saw a video about one of the family members of the boy that died talking down on my sister saying that she could of saved him but let him die.

All I want to do is make my sister happy again instead of making her feel down in the dumps and maybe get with her boos friend yeah I know even though dinah and normani hate each other they had a thing in high school.

Imma tell y'all a secret selena is not really mario kid she's dinah.

Dinah:why would you tell them that

Destiney:because it's true

Dinah:it was a one time thing at a party before she started being a bitch

Dinah:and besides selena is not mines

Destiney:so you admit you want normani back

Dinah:I didn't say all that and no I don't want her back it be a cold day in hell before that happens

Destiney looks at dinah and says please it's only for tonight there will be bad bitches there and plus I think you might meet your soulmate at the club so please come tonight.

Dinah:I'll think about it

Destiney:come on sis what's there to think about all I'm asking for is tonight you come with me to the club

Destiney:that's it that's all

Dinah:didn't I just say that I will think about it

Destiney looks at dinah and says please come out to the club with me and dinah finally said okay I'll come with you to the club happy now and destiney says yessssss (start's singing) dinah going to the club dinah going to the club.
