It's now morning and I'm just sitting on the couch with a tshirt on my hand. A t shirt with blood stains on it. I'm looking at Mpendulo sleeping with no care in the world. He should be halfway to the triplets school by now but he's still snoring. And the t shirt. Was it his way of telling me that he was fighting wherever he was or that he was busy killing someone? This is something new. It has never happened before. So i am confused.
Mpe:are you going to look at me all day?
Me:i thought you were sleeping. You didn't forget that you have to go to the kids school today right?
Mpe:for what? Just because my child stood up for his little brother they start calling meetings? I'm not going.
Me:well I'm not going also.
Mpe:good. Now can you come back to bed?
Me:what is this?
Mpe:yiu don't have to worry yourself about that.

I wiped my tears going to the bathroom. I took the tshirt and put it into a metal bucket together with his pants. I burned them in there and got rid of the ashes.

Me:you're so good. You're so good at hiding things that all these years i didn't see what you are. 13 years Mpendulo. 13! I asked you what you do for a living and i think you lied. I deserve to know the truth now.
Mpe:okay. Come here.
I sat on the bed and looked at him. Even now that i see the kind of person that he is i still love him. I love this man so much and it scares me that i still do after finding out what he did.
Mpe:I'm not a gangster if that is what you think. I just do soe business that are not really legit. Some of our trucks transport weapons and drugs. That's only how we are involved. I am not a criminal.
Me:that's the same thing. Those guns are used to kill people. Those drugs destroy lives!
Mpe:I'm not the one destroying those lives.
Me:that's all that you do?
Mpe:yes. There's nothing to worry about..i will never let anything happen to you my love. Nothing.
That nothing scares me. The way he said it.
Me:was Tshireletso the first person you've done that to?
Mpe:I'm the one who killed John and also did something to have Liloca killed.
Me:oh my God there's more! Why did i even ask?

Mpe:he was Liloca's brother and they were together in everything. He was here to finish what she started. So i killed him.
Me:you're not even affected by all of this. You say it like it's nothing.

He wiped my tears and pecked my lips. More tears fell. The door opened and i quickly wiped my tears.
Sphe:we are going to school mommy. I brought her.
