"The number you have called has a mailbox that hasn't been set up yet-"

The hang up button had been immediately clicked by then, I held the power button and powered it off. This has been the fifth time calling after he left with my dog. That was my dog! I paid for it, not him. I made sure that the dog continued to be safe and stay careful. Why had he taken it from me?

I tossed my phone on my bed and looked at my room, thinking of the next thing I'd do. I just wanted my dog back, I have had that dog for so long, so having it taken away just frustrated me.

I stood up, my legs shook, it felt like I was walking on jelly. My body shivered with a fit of unbridled anger. I grabbed my backpack and filled it with the stuff he had left and my dog's leash, then pushed open the door of my apartment.

My hair was greasy as I attempted to assist it in the right place, I wanted to at least look presentable before barging into his house. I took a peek through the window to see him, some other lady, and her "dog".

Angry, I smacked my hands on the door repeatedly, causing my dog to bark. The door was abruptly opened, causing me to fall down. "Loren? Why are you here?" My ex had asked, the woman next to him rolled her eyes, "And who is this?"

"I'm his girlfriend, and who are you?" I said standing up. I want to at least mess with her if he moves on so quickly. Now I was past my limit, he doesn't even dump me face to face and he already has a new girl? This lady looked kind of shocked but attempted to hide it.

He bites his lip in the silence, he finally says something. "What are you doing here?" I immediately grab my dog's leash out of my backpack and hook it to my dog's collar. "What are you doing?! That's the new dog he got for me!"

The lady told me, and I honestly just laughed. "Oh, so that's what he told you? Surprisingly I adopted this dog and it's mine, he stole it from me."

I unzipped my backpack and threw his stuff onto the ground, then quickly ran out of there with my dog, ignoring them as they yelled at me.

Once I had gotten home, I placed my dog down, locking the door and inhaling and exhaling, my mind hadn't been clear at the time.

I just couldn't stop thinking about that other girl, who was she? Why would he move on so quickly? If he lied to her, had he lied to me?
