Chapter I

Where it all began
Shaver Lake, Summer of 2020

   As my GiGi and Pa get out of the car to unload, I wag my tail absolutely thrilled to get out of my Pa's old truck. A very new scenery. I wonder if there will be flowers for me? I bark signaling for my mothers to take my out of the truck before I secrete.

   My mommy finally lets me out. "Mae Mae do u want waterr" my mommy says. As she puts the water down from my light pink hydro flask. As I'm about to drink the water my mommy gave me, I see him... It's love at first site. I see him walking over talking to my mommies.

   He starts walking towards me. Joey. My tail starts to wag and as I try and trot over to him. He starts to roughly pet me and I roll over my my stomach. I'm panting as Joey pets me. My doggy princess heart flutters. He try's to walk a way but I quickly say "Joey come play with me🥺". He doesn't stop though, he just keeps walking. I stop panting and my Pa takes me inside to our luxurious small house.

   I'm sad. Joey doesn't want to play with me. I start wagging my tail as my mommy cuts my food. I am very hungry. Hopefully Joey can play with me later.
